Single Family Character Home. Remodeled in 2019. Views of Lake Winnebago. Close to EAA, Menominee Nation Arena, Downtown Oshkosh, Restaurants, bars and pubs. On-site parking for 2-3 cars. Owners live next door. Close to all forms of transportation, boating, highway, trains and planes. This home is next to ours.. The home you will be staying in has views of Lake Winnebago from two of the upstairs bedrooms, however it does not have direct access to the lake. Bedroom #2 has direct access to a porch overlooking the lake. The home is less than a block away from a public boat landing, so getting the boat in and out is a breeze. We are on the EAA flight path so you can view planes coming in and taking off over the lake during the EAA and other fly-in events. You will have access to the entire house. We live next door. The basement and garage will be locked and is not accessible to guests. We live right next door, so we are available when needed if questions or concerns arise. We are also available to give local site advise, tips about things to do, places to eat and spots to fish or boat. As your Hosts, we live right next door....so the neighborhood is great!!! but we're biased. We are literally on Oshkosh's main street. This road runs along the western shore of Lake Winnebago. Follow this road north and you will run into two public boat landings and the Southshore Yacht Club before arriving at the Menominee Nation Arena (Home of the Herd) and Oshkosh's new entertainment district, all within 1.2 miles of the house. Travel another 1/2 mile north and you will be at the Pioneer Marina and then the Leach Ampitheater (home to Waterfest) and Historic Downtown Oshkosh. The EAA grounds is less than 2 miles to the west. Travel just another mile further and you will hit Ford Festival Grounds (Home to Country USA and Rock USA). On the way to the festival grounds you will pass plenty of shopping spots including the Outlet mall. There are numerous Bar's and Restaurants within walking distance including, Beachcomber's Bar and Grill, Chester V's , Parnell's Place, Southshore Yacht Club, the Maple Pub and 5th Ward Brewing just to name a few. We are right on the EAA flight path so you will have great views of planes flying in and leaving and many of the shows that happen over the lake. We are also just one block from a public boat landing. You can actually land your boat and just walk to and from the boat landing to the home you're staying at.
