2025 starts our 8th year! We're so grateful to family and friends that helped us through some challenges in '24. Excited to welcome visitors to our home this coming year! You'll experience our cozy 6 bedroom farm home, on 385 acres of organically farmed fields and pastures mowed by mellow cows. Enjoy the wide open view of the wonderous stars and moon from the front yard. The space When we hear “It feels like home,” we know we’re meeting our goal. Enjoy cups of coffee and sunshine on the sun-porch, walks in the pastures and countryside. A large selection of books, games and toys are on hand for young and old, plus a couple of outdoor games. Visit the Nissen Winery, or “Big Hair,” Hartington’s new amazing brew house. Explore northeast Nebraska, starting with Bow Valley’s historic Sts. Peter and Paul church and others dotted around the area. Go fishing or swimming up at the Lewis and Clark recreation area, bike the Outlaw Trail and enjoy fine dining experiences in Yankton or Vermillion, SD. Our housekeepers keep the house "sparkling clean," quoting a guest. Thanks to their dedication, attention to detail and professional services. Notice: $25 Fee per furry, plus approval by owner. Dog and cats have always been part of our farm family. With this in mind, pets are welcome, with agreed restrictions in the house. Guest access You’re welcome to use the open areas in the house, including the utility room with the washer & dryer. You’re may take walks in the pastures if there are no cattle mowing, but it’s advisable to stick to the cow paths. Badger holes have caught walkers unaware! Other things to note Additional Fee: Over 10 people-$10 a day per person over 3 years old. The FarmHouse Rules: 1. Pets MUST be approved prior to rental, $25 fee per animal. 2. NO smoking in the house, including the sunporch. 3. NO hunting, 4 wheeling or snowmobiling are permitted on the farm. 4. NO open fires on place. 5. ALL farm buildings are off limits.
