Cedar Lane Cabin offers a relaxed and laid back vacation spot nestled into the woods and overlooking a valley. *Authentic Log cabin *Outdoor living space with large pavilion and firepit *Wooded setting *Minutes from Penn Yan, Keuka Lake, and the Windmill Farm/Craft Market The front porch is a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy the sounds of the birds and nature and slow down for a moment, with comfortable log rockers and a porch swing...just the place for your morning cup of coffee. The main living area is spacious with a Living room, Dining area and Full Kitchen. There is a large stone fireplace with a gas insert and the cabin is furnished with handmade log furniture, hewn by a local craftsman. The post and beam construction on the front porch and on the pavilion were all hewn by hand, by the homeowner, and are made from trees cut down on the property. From the kitchen, you can step down a few steps and there is a sunken 3 season sun-room with large windows facing out over the back yard. You can observe the deer and other wildlife, that come out into the backyard, through the big glass windows in the sun room. The main floor has 2 bedrooms, each with a Queen bed and hand made log furniture. The bathroom is also on the main floor with a tub/shower In the lower level, there is a family room to the right and a bedroom, with a Queen bed, to the left. The backyard at Cedar Lane is spacious with plenty of room for yard games or to let the kids run. There is a large pavilion in the back yard for guests to enjoy with a wood firepit, where you can roast smores and sing campfire songs. The perfect spot to end your day! *Before booking, we would like guests to know: Cedar Lane is an authentic cabin made of real logs. Therefore, noises tend to travel more through the rooms than in a traditional home. The cabin also tends to have a "woodsy/cabin" smell, which is natural from the logs. **We ask that the primary renter be 25 years of age or older. By booking you agree with this policy and comply with this request **No pets or animals are allowed **No parties are allowed **Smoking is prohibited **Parking for 4 vehicles **Guest must comply with maximum occupancy at all times, no exceptions. Only 6 people are allowed on the premises, additional persons will be asked to leave **Guests are asked to initial a rental waiver, sent via email, immediately after booking Guest access Guests will have access to the cabin, yard, pavilion, garage and wooded area behind the house Other things to note You are welcome to the limited supply of disposable paper goods, shampoos, soaps, dishwashing detergent, etc. Once you run out, it’s up to you to replace according to the needs of your group.
