“Worth's Place" is located in the breathtaking Appalachian Mountains of Ashe County, North Carolina. This charming 1930's farmhouse sits in the locale of a "retired" 180+ acre dairy farm and is roughly 15-20 minutes away from Boone/Jefferson. If you enjoy mountain scenery, hiking trails, or any outdoor activities, Ashe County is the place to visit! NOTE: The farmhouse only has ONE BATHROOM and it is located INSIDE BEDROOM #1 (bathroom is not accessible via any other rooms besides bedroom #1). The space Mostly private, country setting. This is the perfect location to catch up on some much needed Rest and Relaxation! Listen closely and you’ll hear the cows mooing, roosters crowing and the soothing sounds of the creek drifting by while relaxing on the hammock outdoors. You may even get serenaded with the sweet songs of the many whip-poor-wills. During the Summer, you’ll most likely see hay cutting, raking and baling in full swing. In early Fall, you’ll be able to gaze at all the stunning foliage—the colors of the leaves are absolutely gorgeous. If you prefer to visit during the Winter months, you may find yourself gazing at a blanket of freshly fallen snow. The Blue Ridge Parkway is located only 5-10 minutes away from the farmhouse and offers incredible mountain views! It's also home to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the area, Cascade Falls ("The Cascades"). This 1.2 mile long hiking trail is a must see! Mystery Hill and Grandfather Mountain are open year round! Tweetsie Railroad is a local favorite for a family train ride and entertainment. If you plan to visit during the Winter, check out our ski slopes- Appalachian, Sugar, and Beech Mountian Ski Resorts! Pick your season and come enjoy all that Ashe County, NC has to offer! Guest access Guests can access the entire house; however, ALL farm equipment AND out-buildings including the Spring-House, Barn, Sheds, Car Port, Corn Silos, etc. are OFF limits! Other things to note The farmhouse only has ONE bathroom and it is located INSIDE bedroom #1 (full size bed) and cannot be accessed through bedroom #2 (queen size bed). We do offer a 32" Flat Screen TV and DVD player in the living room with Dish Satellite TV service and a ROKU player, however; we do NOT have TVs in either bedroom. We will be available to personally answer any calls/texts/AirBNB messages between the hours of 7:30am-9pm. We will still be available after those hours for emergencies only.
