FISHING CHARTERS AVAILABLE The space Port Mansfield is a fishing community. Wild deer roam throughout the neighborhood. Many are friendly and some will even eat out of your hand and allow you to pet them. Additionally, seagulls regularly hangout near the water and can easily be coaxed in by flipping a few pieces of bread up in the air. Feeding the seagulls from the deck is a great fun past time for the kids and adults alike. Keep in mind all of the animals are wild, which can, at different times of the year and/or if they feel threatened, become unpredictable. Always use caution around wild animals. Additionally, Port Mansfield is a fishing community. There is no Gulf/Ocean style beach in Port Mansfield. The Gulf/Ocean style beach is approximately an hour away in South Padre Island. Many guests come to fish and take a day trip out to enjoy the beach. However, it is important to remember, Port Mansfield is a fishing community for recreational sportsmen and women who love fresh air, sun and saltwater.
