Marfa House Bosque Bonito in the Center of Marfa
Marfa House, originally built as a railroad hotel in 1890, offers an oasis of comfortable accommodations in the heart of Marfa's historic center, only a short walk from galleries, restaurants, and bars. Our apartments have kitchen and dining amenities to provide guests with meal-time options. Our apartments also feature solid-wood beds, premium bedding, and furnishings and original art with a contemporary and West Texas flair. The space Bosque Bonito is a first-floor apartment with a queen bed bedroom and private bath, and a separate living room and a fully equipped kitchen/dining room with stove/oven, dishwasher, and full-sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffeemaker. Guests also have access to three common areas: the gallery/living room, the rear atrium with large-screen TV, and the second-floor front balcony. Guest access A WORD ABOUT OUR CLEANING PRACTICES IN THE WAKE OF THE PANDEMIC: Marfa House wants its guests to be safe during their visits. In response to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we have committed to the following practices: --Booked units will be left vacant a minimum of 24 hours between guest residencies. --The host will socially distance and wear a mask during direct interactions with guests. Guests will, of course, have all-hours access to the Marfa House entry and their booked unit via keypad entrance access. --An antiseptic solution will be used to clean all contact surfaces in each unit before guests check in--including door knobs, appliances, counters, and mini split AC/heating and ceiling fan remotes, as well as multiple daily wipe-downs of high-traffic surfaces in the common areas, such as entry door knobs, stair and balcony railings, and television remotes in the atrium. --Each of our units is heated and cooled by individual mini-split HVAC units that bring fresh air in from outdoors, so there is no concern about re-circulated air coming from other interior spaces. Please socially distance from other guests if your are using the common areas. Other things to note The City of Marfa charges a local occupancy tax of seven percent in addition to the State occupancy tax of six percent. We are registered with the City as lodging No. S105. In addition, the rooms in Bosque Bonito are heated and cooled with individual mini-split heating and cooling units that bring air directly from outside, so there is no recirculated air from within the building that could raise issues regarding air quality.
