This secluded log cabin offers access to wilderness while maintaining the convenience of abutting the Carinthia ski area of Mount Snow. Built in 2013, the cabin is energy efficient, modern, and comfortable yet rustic and simple in design. Next to the cabin, a cold water stream rushes down exposed bedrock into a shallow pool. Brief immersions into the water are exhilarating, therapeutic, and rejuvenating. Whole house heating and cooling is supplied by a geothermal heat pump. A fiber line and mesh router provides fast and reliable internet throughout all areas of the home. There are partial views of the opposing ridge line, field, forest, and waterfalls throughout the house and from the wrap around porch. Relax outside to the sound of the waterfalls from within the screen porch. The cabin has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a loft. Two of the bedrooms each have one queen sized bed, and the third bedroom has a single bed and a bunk-bed. Each bedroom has a window that opens towards the waterfalls. A whole house audio system connects to your device through wifi. Smart lighting is used throughout the cabin and a 60 inch TV uses Apple TV to provide access to Netflix and other streaming services. The home is all-electric with the exception of the clothes dryer. Grid power supplied to the cabin is provided by renewable energy sources. The cabin offers an electric vehicle charging outlet that provides up to 40 miles of charge per hour for your EV. Plug in your electric car and enjoy an emission free vacation. Access to the cabin is via a 600 foot long driveway. It features a frog pond alongside of it. The Valley Trail is along the road at the end of the driveway and behind the cabin is a short trail through conserved forest. This cabin is ideal for travelers that want a private, secluded, modern, and peaceful place to comfortably experience nature while knowing that their stay has minimal environmental impact. I hope you have a wonderful visit to this cabin getaway. Enjoy quiet nights by the outdoor fire pit accompanied by the gentle rush of the nearby waterfalls, while tree frogs and crickets peep throughout the night. Access to whole house. The Valley Trail is located at the end of the driveway on Handle road. This trail leads to Mount Snow, other walking trails, and to the trail network located in the town of Dover. Historic homes and other trail heads for bikers and hikers dot the road. Mount Snow is located 1/4 mile to the north and the Hermitage Club is located is approximately 2 miles to the south. Restaurants and bars in Dover are all easily accessible from this location. The forest surrounding the home has been conserved. A small pond greets you midway up the 650 foot long driveway where there are an abundance of amphibians, insects, and birds. Animal travel from the upland forest to the wetlands located across the street makes for interesting wildlife viewing. A short walking path behind the home leads to the Carinthia base area. Beyond the conserved woods surrounding the home is the Green Mountain National Forest where there are fishing, hunting, back-country skiing, and hiking opportunities. There is parking available for up to six cars in front of the cabin. An electrical outlet provides up to 40 miles of charge per hour for electric vehicle charging. The Moover, a free bus, is available at the Carinthia parking lot in the winter. In winter months, please use caution driving up and down the driveway. I highly recommend using vehicles equipped with AWD/4WD and snow tires in the winter months. The driveway is regularly plowed but is usually an icy hard pack. Use caution exiting your vehicles as the ground may be slippery. Be certain to use AWD/Snow tires in the winter as the driveway is usually an icy hard pack.
