Hi, we're Annemarie and Erik and we are looking for a person or a couple that will stay in our house for THREE months (June, July and August) while we are away to take care of our CAT. Evidently you must not be allergic to cats, or hate cats, or be unwilling to feed our cat or clean the cat-tray every three days. In exchange for all that we offer two floors of our house (ground and first floor) for a more than friendly price (below the shown price). Please contact us for more info on this. The space On the groundfloor is your kitchen/livingroom. After entering the front door you will pass through the kitchen/livingroom to get to the stairway. On the first floor landing is a bathroom for everyone to use. Also on this floor is your bedroom/kitchenette. The second floor can not be used. The third floor is occupied by a tennant, but we do not know if she is at home in this period. The fourth floor can not be used. In the basement is a workshop, a bathroom, the cat's tray and an exit to the street. From there you have direct access to the stairway. Guest access You will enter the front door with a key or the secret device and find youself in the ground floor kitchen/livingroom. In the back is the stairway. You also may enter through the basement door, using a key or another secret device. From there you can access the stairway. The stairway leads to the first floor with a shared bathroom on the landing. Next to it is your bedroom/kitchenette with shower. During your stay We like to have interaction with our guests, but as we will not be there for the most part, contact will unfortunately be limited. We are not sure exactly when we will be travelling, but there's room for all when we are at home. Other things to note • Taking care of our CAT is the main reason for us to open our house to you in this way, so it is an important point which we explained before. • The CAFÉ nextdoor has a terrace that can be noisy until late in the evening, especially on summer nights. People who are sensitive to this can find it annoying. Windows have thermopane glazing and when shut prevent most of the noise entering the room. Alternative ventilation can be obtained by opening the room door and back windows in the stairway. • Guests can borrow our BIKES if they want, but because the saddles take ajusting and some of them have brakes of the back-pedaling kind, it might be smarter and safer to rent bikes around the corner. Please let us know. • The STAIRWAY is according to modern Dutch norms. The width is 75cm/30inch minimum, depth and height of the steps are normal. There is a handrail and a holding-rope Still, new guests may have to get used to it, and some people may experience the stairway to be steep or narrow. • On the ground floor is our living room/kitchen which you will have to pass through when entering and leaving the house. We do not mind that at all. There is an alternative entrance/exit through the basement workshop. We will show you in due time. • The use of SOFTDRUGS are a major Dutch attraction, but we advise everyone to be careful, especially inexperienced smokers, because some stuff will be unexpectedly strong. Smoking or vaping of any kind is not allowed in the room. • Please check if the front DOOR is closed well after you leave or enter (click!) and lock the door with the knob (inside) or with your key (outside).
