Cloud Nine is a luxurious home with a Hot Tub tucked in the unique mountain community of Cloudcroft, NM, altitude 6,800 ft. It is right on the edge of the Lincoln National Forest and within walking distance of Burro Avenue which features an assortment of shops, restaurants, and a local brewery. The Village and Osha hiking trails into the National Forest are a short walk from the house. Come unwind and lose yourself in the picturesque views this home has to offer. With three spacious floors, and a detached two car garage with a studio, there is plenty of room to accommodate large families. Upon entry you will find yourself on the main floor, featuring a fully stocked gourmet kitchen, open dining area (seating for twelve with additional table for four more), and large living room with a unique Kiva fireplace. The large doors and windows offer endless views of the forest, White Sands National Park, and the most breathtaking sunrises and sunsets you have ever seen. This floor also features a half bath, wet bar, pantry and laundry facilities. The upper level features a master bedroom, with a king bed, private balcony (with unbelievable views), and a unique skylight above the bed to stargaze at night. The master bath includes a Jacuzzi tub with shower. In addition to this, the upper level has second guest room with queen bed and private bath/shower. The lower level is a true gem and includes a recreation area with a sofa, chair, television and a stocked cabinet with games, movies, books and more. Within the recreation area are two sets of triple bunks - one bunk contains three twin sized beds while the other triple bunk has full (double) sized beds. In addition to the bunks, there are two separate bedrooms (both queen beds) separated by a Jack and Jill style bathroom. The back of the home has a large deck with three separate sliding glass doors off of the living and dining area. There is a five person Hot Tub. This is the perfect space to experience the fresh, crisp mountain air while enjoying your favorite beverage or meal prepared on the propane grill. You wont want to miss the spectacular sunsets over White Sands and the San Andres mountains. As an added bonus, the property will come with the use of the two car garage with a studio on the second level. The studio includes a queen size bed, lounging area and pool table. There is a ping pong table for guest use in the garage. All three floors have strong internet Wi-Fi connections. The home includes 5 Smart Roku TVs, some with DVD and VCR capabilities. The home is located on a very quiet road and provides a perfect vantage point with access to all the activities the area has to offer, hiking, skiing, ice skating, fishing etc. One other advantage is the availability of trash disposal as there are public dumpsters at several points in the village. With so many extras, from a fully stocked gourmet kitchen with a plethora of spices, oils, vinegars, flour, sugar and most equipment needed to prepare a fabulous meal; soaps, shampoos and lotions in the bathrooms, we make it easy to vacation! Other amenities include books for all ages, board games, movies, snow sleds, plush throw blankets and much more . Baby equipment is available: pack and plays, baby gates, high chair, booster chair, bumbo, dishware, utensils and a toddler cot. From the moment you enter we are certain you will feel as if you are on Cloud Nine! Summer highs are usually in the 70’s. Highest recorded is 85 since we have been in Cloudcroft. To ensure the comfort of our guests, A/C was installed in Spring 2021. Guests have access to all areas except for three locked closets within the home and a storage area below the home. Host will be available for questions. Honoring the privacy of our guests, host will not visit unless invited. Home is within the Village of Cloudcroft and centrally located to walk into Lincoln National forest (hiking trails), 2 blocks to Mad Jack's Mountaintop Barbecue, an 8 minute walk to the Burro Street shopping district. Ski Cloudcroft is a short 6 minute drive. Cloudcroft Brewery in the Village serves up local brews and has great pizzas. House is centrally located and within walking distance of local attractions and hiking trails. A car is required to get to and from Cloudcroft to Alamogordo and nearby airports. Cloudcroft requires all trash to be disposed of in the dumpsters provided by the Village. The guests will be expected to transport all trash to the dumpsters. The studio guests will utilize bathroom facilities in the main house. The home is throughly cleaned and sanitized (with a fogging sanitizer).
