Rejuvenated rustic camp gets you off the beaten path and hectic pace . Enjoy a walk around the lake, or try a kayak from our lakefront. Leave your worries behind. Relax on the porch, play games, read a book or stream a movie. Heated and Insulated. The space Rejuvenated but rustic camp. Relaxing, open living space has large windowed porch to sit and enjoy the lake views. Modernized kitchen with new stove and refrigerator makes meal prep and clean up a breeze. Granite Lake is 238 acres in size, just over a mile in length and just over one-half mile in width. This small lake is one of the cleanest and deepest lakes in New Hampshire. In the Summer, there are kayaks, paddle boards and a canoe to explore the clean, clear water and catch sight of the loons. Life vests avail from age 1 and older. (There's even a doggie vest for small to med dogs). Water toys and swim fins also available. Community beach just steps away. We have tried to accommodate all ages in setting up Grammy camp. Having a large family, we understand keeping children busy so parents can relax. One side of porch is full of toys, games, and a GIGANTIC tub of Legos; the other side has a comfortable sitting area for morning coffee, tea or evening cocktail. Local channels through FuboTV, Premium Streaming apps and wireless Internet keeps you in touch with modern life and children in touch with their favorite programs. Grammy Camp stay is quiet and stress free. Take a walk around the lake (3 miles) and enjoy the warm southern New Hampshire sun. Camp is fully insulated and heated so you will be toasty warm even in a Winter blizzard. The town road is paved and plowed. Keene (11 miles) is a great walk around college community with ethnic restaurants, interesting shops and the new Monadnock Food Coop. Mount Monadnock hiking trails are within easy driving distance and Southern NH is bursting with nature trails. Granite Gorge Ski Area is 5 miles away and Southern NH and VT ski areas within an hour's drive. Check out the web for Southern NH and VT cross country and downhill ski areas within easy driving distance. Guest access Full access to the house, dock, private community beach as well as grill, and yard. We have 4 kayaks, 1 canoe, 2 paddle boards, multi sizes for life vests and swim fins. Also gas grill, small fire pit and outside table and chairs. Dock for fishing (over 16 need license), small beach for launching and large sandy community beach 65 feet away. Water shallow in our cove but 100 ft deep in open lake. Elephant Rock is great destination for picnic or paddle over to the island for more exploration. Other things to note Games and toys on porch for younger set or game night. Satellite TV and streaming available. Outside storage has many sizes of life vests as well as beach chairs and water toys. Plenty of linens, towels and we have a port-a-crib (upon request). Heated and insulated.
