Ashgrove Garden on the Ocean

A delightful location on Penobscot Bay, 1/2 mile form Lincolnville Beach and a five-minutes drive from Camden, with its picturesque harbor, full of sailboats from around the world and its own schooner fleet. Trail heads, accessing Camden Hills State Park, are just a few minutes away. Views from the high points in the park are renowned for their extraordinary beauty and expansiveness, inspiring artists and poets for generations. The space A comfortable, spacious apartment, up a flight of stairs. The deck off the back provides pretty views of the Camden Hills. Although our property is on the water and guests have a short walk to the private, quiet shore, the apartment is neither on the water nor can you see the water from it--Our house, situated between the apartment and the shore, blocks the view. Besides the living area with its queen-sized bed, there is a small room with a twin bed for napping, late night reading, etc. Guest access The apartment is surrounded by 6 acres of woods and field. Guests frequently report how quiet and restorative their stay has been. The apartment is above John's workshop, up a flight of stairs, and about 100 feet from our house. Guests are welcome to explore the area and enjoy the rugged beauty of our shore. Other things to note We feel truly lucky to live in this area. Hiking and swimming opportunities abound. Art, music and other cultural opportunities abound. We look over the bay and out to the ocean with the hills at our backs.
