Homewood Hotel & Spa - Small Luxury Hotels of the World
Homewood Hotel & Spa - Small Luxury Hotels of the World
Description
Nestled in 20 acres of the serene Somerset countryside, Homewood Bath is the ultimate staycation destination. Eclectic, luxurious and slightly eccentric; think grand Georgian country house and grounds filled with creative artworks. Ultra-modern indulgences are a must including their spa which features a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room and heated outside hot tub swimming pool with unbroken views of the valley.. Gone are the days of the stuffy old posh hotels with dinner jackets and dresses at dinner. Homewood is firmly in the 21st century - relaxed and friendly without subtracting any of the high standards demanded of a luxury hotel. Locally sourced produce is at the heart of their restaurant 'Olio', with a large proportion of veggies used throughout the menu being grown on-site at their 'No-Dig Kitchen Garden'. Olio encapsulates the very best of British food with a unique Mediterranean twist. Whether enjoying a feast in the dashing dining domes, indulging in their famous afternoon tea or an amorous Sunday roast with all the trimmings, the emphasis is always on sustainable, often hedgerow fresh ingredients, with a proud, local provenance. Spa Suite has the feel of a luxury apartment. One is decorated in rustic luxe style, with stone and wood clad walls and a seating area, while the other has an Art Deco feel, with its own separate sitting room. Both of these suites have outdoor seating areas with a private hot tub, barrel sauna and plunge pool. Statement art and lighting and a king size Hypnos Lansdowne Cashmere bed are featured. The vast bathroom has a free-standing bath and shower and is well stocked with 100 Acres Apothecary bath and body products. The room also includes a flat screen TV, high speed WiFi, homemade biscuits, Smeg coffee machine and kettle, Dyson hairdryer and super soft bathrobes. One of the suites can be set up with twin beds upon request.
