There are other cabins nearby, as this home is part of the Mountain Village Chalet vacation community, but most of the homes are empty throughout the year, so it is very quiet. During the winter and fall, the deck has a direct view of Chimney Rock State Park! As the pictures show, this cabin is two stories with covered decks on both the bottom and top story. However, the top level is not connected to the bottom story via interior stairs. The house is two separate levels and you have to go outside and down the outdoor steps to get to the bottom story. The house is on the side of a mountain, so there is no fenced backyard. The neighborhood is pretty quiet, with little vehicle traffic. The paved road uphill makes for a nice walk with pretty views. For our dog owners- Our cabin does not have a fenced yard! There is a gravel area on the top level and just a small shoulder area on the road to bring your dogs to do their business. We also have a long grassy driveway on the lower level, but you must go down a flight of stairs (from the back deck) and that area isn't lit up at night. So keep this in mind! But we are on a mountain that you can walk up or down for our more active dog parents. Top Level: This is the level that you will drive up to. It has a ramp to the front door from the road. The top story has a fully equipped kitchen with all your cooking and baking dishes and utensils. Also, an electric tea kettle, French press, drip coffee maker, and electric griddle. We provide medium roast coffee grounds, sugar & other sweeteners, and various tea bags. As well as- garbage bags, dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher pods, a brand new sponge, and paper towels. There is one full bathroom with a shower/tub combo. We provide fresh towels and wash clothes. *Separate towels provided for dogs. This level has one bedroom with a king sized log bed and a gel memory foam mattress with a 32" Roku TV. The main living room has a wood burning fireplace (we do not provide wood), 50" Roku TV, dining table with 6 chairs, and a sectional couch. We a sliding glass door from the living room and a door from the kitchen leading to our upper deck. This deck has a table and chairs for outdoor eating, as well as a gas grill (propane is provided). This level has stairs that lead to a lower level driveway, not typically needed or used for cars, that is great for walking your dog. Please note, it is not well lit at night. Bottom Level: From the main road where you park, you will go down a flight of steps to access this level. There are no interior stairs connecting the 2 levels. This is one big bedroom consisting of 3 beds. 1 king sized bed with a gel memory foam mattress. Also 2 ikea trundle single beds that can form into king beds. We have a 32" roku tv as well as a mini fridge on this level. There is a nice, but small, bathroom with a rain shower head fully stocked with fresh towels and wash clothes. The bottom-level deck has a propane fire pit (propane provided), comfy outdoor chairs, and a hammock. Parking: There are a couple of gravel areas on the road that you can park on, but since we are the only cabin on this road, you can park in the street.
