The historic 3 bedroom one and a half bath property was remodeled to look just as it did back in the 60's and 70's when the Van Zant family lived there, prior to forming Lynyrd Skynyrd and .38 Special. The retro vibe is not for everyone, so consider that is you're just looking for an inexpensive place to stay. We have three other, more modern units on site for you! But, soak in the cool memorabilia, play pool on our vintage 1930 pool table, play a guitar or the keyboard in this huge space! This historic home is the childhood home of the Van Zant family, including Lynyrd Skynyrd founder Ronnie Van Zant. The epic rise to fame of the original version of Lynyrd Skynyrd was tragically cut short by a plane crash in 1977 that took Ronnie's life, and that of several other members of the band. But their music will live forever, and hopefully this house will stand as well as a living tribute to the Van Zants. Inside this main house, you'll find some cool memorabilia, a vintage 1938 Brunswick pool table, and a retro 70's feel, to remind us all of the way things were, with a hint of nostalgia.
