Newly opened and refurbished in October 2020, Wanderlust NZ is a waterfront hostel located in a historical building in downtown Tauranga. It features a large balcony area overlooking the harbor and free high-speed unlimited throughout. Among the facilities at this property are 2 spacious, shared kitchens overlooking the water and a separate shared lounge area, and a specialized private group area. We have upmarket private rooms with ensuites to shared dorms with or without ensuites with eco-friendly bedding and tastefully decorated. This hostel has sustainability at it’s core. There are a variety of bars and cafes located a short walk from the hostel. The bus station is a 1-minute walk from Wanderlust NZ, and the Visitor Information Center is located next door. The nearest airport is Tauranga Airport, 3.1 mi from Wanderlust NZ. There is no parking onsite but plenty of near parking. These renovated 4-bed mixed dormitory rooms offer bunk beds with an inner sprung mattress, fluffy pillows and duvets. Guests have access to a shared bathroom located down the hallway. Each room has a large historic sash window, USB ports, plenty of space for your luggage and lockers for your valuables.
