Appleby Manor Hotel & Garden Spa

Set in the heart of the Eden Valley, the 19th-century Appleby Manor Country House Hotel offers a warm welcome and stunning surroundings. The dress code is smart casual; gentlemen are kindly asked to refrain from wearing shorts. Drinks can be enjoyed on the terrace, with views overlooking the beautifully landscaped gardens. Each guest room includes a comfortable seating area—some set within charming bay windows offering views of the gardens and nearby Appleby Castle. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. The lounge, complete with a traditional real log fire, provides a cozy setting to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or a quiet moment. A full English or Continental breakfast is served daily in the Restaurant, which features views stretching across the Lake District fells. The surrounding area offers excellent opportunities for scenic walks, hill hiking, and fishing. Appleby Rail Station is just a 10-minute walk away, while Appleby Castle and the local golf club can be reached within five minutes by car. Penrith town center is less than a 20-minute drive from the hotel. Coach House: There are 4 rooms on the ground floor with a further 3 on the 1st floor and they have all been recently refurbished, they are a 10 yard walk across a gravel courtyard from the main building. The 1st floor rooms are accessed by a flight of wooden stairs and there is no elevator. These rooms are a mixture of doubles and twins and they feature a seating area, flat screen televisions with Freeview, iron & ironing boards, tea & coffee making facilities and hairdryers. They are all en suite with a shower over the bath.
