Penny End is located in Mosser, a short drive from 4 lakes and only 3 miles from the picturesque market town of Cockermouth, making this an ideal base for families and couples wishing to explore the Western lakes, and with great walking and cycling straight from our doorstep. Owners in adjoining house. Comfortable kitchen-dining-living area with wood burning stove, and snug area upstairs. Double bedroom. Additional sleeping in upstairs lounge (daybed and trundle bed). Downstairs bathroom . The space Recently refurbished and tastefully furnished cottage, perfect for couples or families with one or two kids. A small but perfectly formed kitchen with dishwasher, two ring induction hob, combination oven/microwave and slow cooker, catering to all your cooking needs. Dining table and comfy sofa downstairs. Newly installed wood burning stove for cozying up after a long walk. Larger daybed with TV/DVD in the upstairs snug. Work space in snug suitable for a laptop. Comfy king size bed in the main bedroom, with plenty of storage space in the wardrobes and chest of drawers. The snug can serve as a second bedroom, sleeping one person on the daybed, plus an extra on a trundle bed if required. The entrance boasts a large boot room - perfect for taking off wet jackets and walking boots. Guests are also welcome to store their bikes, paddleboards or kayaks (!!) in this secure space. Guest access The sunny back garden can be accessed via the rear lobby, perfect for breakfast or supper outside. Please note that the garden has unsecured steep drops from walls, so parents are responsible for their children. Other things to note Fabulous walks and cycle routes directly from the door step, so no need to drive anywhere much for your activities. Guests are welcome to store their bikes in the boot room. One parking space for guests. Quiet times between 9pm and 7am please due to school age children in the main house.
