Great for families/groups: full kitchen,comfy living room with 55" HDTV and free, fast Wi-Fi. Centrally located in the Keweenaw: 15 miles to MTU/Houghton, 22 miles to Mt Bohemia, 4 miles to Calumet.On snowmobile/Atv/Mt Bike trail & Road Bike loop. The space Newly remodeled, large flat encompasses the entire second floor of the historic Streetcar Station. Ample parking right off US Hwy 41. Full kitchen with fridge, stove & oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, all pots & pans, plates & bowls, glasses & mugs, utensils. Bakeware too:). Two tables seat 10 (6 in kitchen, 4 in living room). Living Room has Pub Table, large HDTV with free cable & internet (fast wifi), and two couches and a large chair with foot stool. King Bedroom has king bed and a 2 compartment closet with sliding doors. Closet has lots of hanging space and several shelves. An iron and ironing board are stored here. Queen Bedroom has two queen beds, 2 dressers, an extra towel cupboard (stuffed with extra full size towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and bath matts). Also a boot tray by the heater, so your boots and shoes will dry and be warm. Guest access Full access at all times. Flat has own dedicated entrance. Pull right up to the door to unload and park in our private lot. For your protection, renters are isolated in the building in 2020, as the downstairs businesses (ice cream parlor and nonprofit nature center) are not open this year. Other things to note Four seasons of fun! Most of our winter guests are Mt Bohemia fanatics (extreme downhill skiers and snowboarders) or snowmobilers (the dedicated snowmobile trail is 1/2 block away). Spring, summer, and fall bring Michigan Tech visitors (we are a favorite hangout for students' families and alumni), as well as those drawn to the natural beauty of the Keweenaw. Note for 2020: the building is set up for our renters to isolate, as the Ice Cream Window and Nature Center are not open. We are also doing enhanced cleaning and sanitation, and have 48 hours between guests.
