Miro at The Apple Pickers' Cottages

Miro is perched on the shore of the Inlet at the end of the peninsula giving it wonderful views and privacy. The sunny deck and private garden are great for relaxing in a hammock or watching wading birds amble around the shoreline. Private and peaceful, yet only 5 minutes drive to shops and cafes in Māpua village. Children 12+ The space Miro is a 1 bedroom self-contained cottage situated on the shore of the beautiful tidal Waimea Inlet. The cottage accommodates 2 people. It has an open-plan living space with large windows, wonderful views, and a fully-equipped kitchen. The bedroom has a king size bed. There are places to sit outside and catch the sunshine whatever time of day. A private garden leads to the estuary shore. The cottage is perfectly equipped for the simple pleasures of a real kiwi bach holiday with good books, board games, barbecue, hammock, and endless views to gaze at. On a full tide you can explore the quiet inlet by kayak or paddle board. The tide comes in and out twice a day so the water and views are constantly changing. The size of the tides also vary according to the moon and there are timetables in the cottages for the best times to kayak and paddle board. The cottage has a woodburner and is very cosy in winter. There is good cellphone coverage and free Wifi. Guest access Miro has its own garden and deck, plus you can walk around our 5 acre property. There is a shared outdoor fire area. Maps of shared spaces are provided in the cottages.
