We missed out on the badge simply because we took a break from Airbnb in 2025. **For summer 2026: 7-night minimum stays, Saturday-to-Saturday, starting May 30th through September 5th. For fall 2026: Starting September 11th through October 23rd, 7-night minimum stays, Friday-to-Friday. ABOUT THE PROPERTY Sand Beach Cottage is perched on a small dune just steps from the water’s edge with access to what many would argue is one of Wisconsin’s best beaches—pristine, private, and wonderfully expansive. A winding grass driveway leads you to the 1,050-square-foot cottage, tucked on 1.1 acres and surrounded by cedar forest on three sides leading to total privacy. Enjoy 180° views of the Lake and direct beach access to your private ~200' long sand beach. Facing south, the cottage is full of natural light. The upgraded kitchen is fully equipped to make cooking a breeze. And for those who aren’t fans of well water, we’ve added a reverse osmosis (RO) faucet. The cottage comfortably sleeps six guests across three cozy bedrooms (two queen beds and a twin bunk room) and features two full bathrooms. The lake-side master suite includes a newly renovated en-suite bathroom. The beds come with freshly upgraded luxury linens and duvet covers, all professionally laundered. THE EXTRAS THAT MAKE YOUR STAY EFFORTLESS There’s a washer and dryer--with detergent--in one of the bathrooms. Whole-house A/C for those humid summer days. And an enclosed outdoor shower—it’s a guest favorite! There is a Weber gas grill on the deck and complimentary access to Netflix, Prime, Disney+ (sorry, no cable). For family fun, the cottage is stocked with games, books, and toys for all ages—and we’re happy to customize toy offerings upon request. The beach is equipped with beach chairs, chaise lounges, umbrellas, boogie boards, child-size life jackets, and plenty of beach toys waiting for the kids. The spacious deck off the living room is your go-to spot for morning coffee with the sunrise or a moonlit cocktail while listening to the waves. Simply put: badge or no badge, this location and this cottage is hard to beat. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house. The basement and detached garage are not accessible. Guests can also access Whitefish Dunes State Park (1000 acres). Walk 100 yards down the road or ¼ mile north on the beach for a free access point for hiking, biking, running trails & groomed x-country trails in the winter. Other things to note We allow a maximum of 6 individuals (the named guests) on the property. Due to septic tank limitations and out of respect for neighbors we do not permit any type of events, day-use, and/or gatherings on the property. We are strict about this rule. No pets of any kind. And we do *not* allow fires in the fireplace (fireplace is disabled) and absolutely no bonfires or fireworks on the beach/property. Quiet hours: 10pm - 7am.
