The Carriage House is a beautifully furnished cottage on 2 wooded acres shared with Cove House. Serene setting with private right of way to unspoiled beach on abutting nature conservancy with 1/2 mile of shoreline to explore and launch our canoe. Close to Acadia Nat'l Park. Incredible serene setting. Get away from it all in a charming comfortable home with private access to an unspoiled beach and wonderful ocean views. Located in close proximity to Acadia National Park and all its amenities. Guests have access to the entire cottage and the garden surrounding it. The cottage shares the 2 acres with a house located about 70 feet from the cottage that is not accessible by cottage guests unless they also rent that property. The gardens around the house are also not accessible to cottage guests unless the house is also rented. The right of way to the beach is accessible to the cottage guests. There is a canoe on the property that is shared with the guests renting the house. The garage is not for guests use except to put garbage in the garbage cans inside the garage. The garage is used by the owners for storage purposes. The cottage is not handicap accessible. The stairs to the second floor bedroom and bath and loft are steeper than normal and not suitable for people who have difficulty climbing stairs. Owners live nearby and are available to answer any questions the guests may have. We are situated in a very peaceful wooded setting with spectacular ocean views and private access to the adjacent nature conservancy with its beach and 1/2 mile of pristine coastline to discover and launch our canoe. There is a free public propane powered bus that transports guests all over the Island and the National Park and takes bikes along as well. The nearest stop is about 1 mile from the house. The stated fee is for 4 guests. There is an additional fee of $175/week for each additional guest over 4 guests. The maximum number of guests is 6 in the cottage. Children over 12 months old at the time of stay are counted as guests. Our rentals run from Saturday to Saturday.
