The Bar Convent Guest House

Located in the heart of York, The Bar Convent Guest House is only a 15-minute minute walk from the city center and just over 984 feet from York Railway Station. The Grade I listed building offers an exhibition on the history of the site, a garden and free WiFi. All of our rooms have private bathrooms and also enjoy the use of our newly renovated guest kitchen and sitting area. Breakfast is served in the on-site café, where guests may enjoy a well-stocked continental buffet breakfast including fresh fruit, pastries, toast and cereals or upgrade to our award-winning full English breakfast. Breakfast is served until 10:00 on a weekend, and until 9.30 from Monday to Friday. Many historic sites can be visited within York’s city center, such as York Minister - one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in Europe. Clifford’s Tower, York Dungeon and the National Railway Museum are also on offer. All bookings include breakfast from our well-stocked continental buffet. An en-suite shower room, flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities are featured in this room, as well as complimentary biscuits, toiletries and a hairdryer.
