Pietricica-Piatra Craiului Lodge

"Cabana Pietricica" is a off-grid cottage, set in the southern part of Piatra Craiului National Park, Carpathian Mountains-Transylvania Roumania, at 1206 m altitude. Here, in Piatra Craiului Mountains, you can spend time being surrounded by nature listening songs of birds while lie on a hammock in the forest and sometimes view wild animals...reading books, taking a walk, hiking or climbing on mountain. The space -The cottage was built in 1965, during the communist regime, and has been gradually upgraded since 2003 and is equipped with a fireplace and satellite TV in the living room. -The unit comprises 4 bedrooms, kitchen, one bathroom and a living room and also features a dining area. -Kitchen is fully equipped with: cooking gas stove, refrigerator... -Drinking water: Fresh water from the mountain spring, with altitude tank. -The bathroom is fitted with a shower and inside flush toilet. No towels! -Bedrooms x4 (11 beds with clean bedding). -Electricity: Solar energy panels on the roof + battery system. -Heating: Wood stove in the rooms, fireplace in living room & boiller stove at bathroom, for hot water. -Hammock for outside ×1. -Guests have access to barbecue facilities. -Internet access: from own mobiles phones with Vodafone Mobile 3G or DIGI Mobile 3G. Guest access You can use whole the cottage and the square in front of the cottage, next forest. You can walk in the forest around the cottage, but remember, that wild animals live in this mountains, too. Other things to note -You can buy and eat organic foods made by organic farms in this area: fresh or fermented cheese, milk, egs... They are very very delicious! Let't try! -Interests: Climbing or hiking trails going to the Piatra Craiului Mountains, -You can visit nearby Dambovicioara's Cave and Dambovicioara's Gorges. -Dracula's castle is at 45 km away, Campulung Town (50km away), Brasov Town (80 km away) and Rucar touristic village at 20km away.
