360 at Mission House

This beautiful home is situated on a ridge with breathtaking 360* views of the Drakensberg Mountains and rolling hills of the midlands; a short distance from the N3, but set back from the road so it is peaceful and quiet. We are just 2km from some of the best MTB and running trails in the country, and perfectly located for the abundance of great restaurants, coffee shops and activities in the area for both adults and children. An ideal spot to retreat with family and friends, or get active. The space The house is light, spacious and airy, and comfortably furnished with modern conveniences. The kitchen is fully equipped , including a Nespresso coffee machine. Also, a laundry with washing machine and dryer. There is a Weber for barbecuing, Dstv and Wifi, and an open log fireplace in the lounge with some firewood provided. There is underfloor heating in some of the rooms, and electric blankets on the beds for chilly nights. There are 4 bedrooms. Upstairs: Bedroom 1 - King bed with en suite bathroom, (plus chaise lounge, suitable for a child) Bedroom 2 - King bed. Bedroom 3 - 4 x Single beds. Separate bathroom. Downstairs: Bedroom 4 - 4 x Single beds, plus fold out sofa bed that sleeps 2, with en suite shower room. We have recently had stair rails installed, and we have stair gates that can be attached, should they be needed for littlies. One thing to note is the upstairs windows are close to the floor so not suitable for small children to be left on their own. There is a solar heated, salt water pool in the front garden, with a strong solid cover for protection. In front of the garden is a large concrete slab which can be used for games, skateboarding, roller skating, etc. Guest access There is plenty of parking for 8-10 cars. There is a lock up garage for 2 cars, and then outdoor offstreet parking for another 8 cars or so within the fenced property. Other things to note - The house is not serviced but a cleaner can be arranged at an extra fee if you would like. - There is an alarm, and we are linked to a security company. - Our water comes from a borehole and is beautifully clean and safe to drink. Occasionally, particularly after lots of rain, there may be a slight residue in the water, but it is still perfectly drinkable. - We provide one large load of firewood and if more is needed, we sometimes have extra on the property for a small fee, or if not, most local petrol stations and supermarkets in the area supply as well. - We supply one set of towels for your stay. - Some toilet paper and other consumables such as teas, coffee, sugar, milk, salt and pepper are provided as a courtesy, but you may need to bring extra as well. - We have had railings installed on the staircase and have stair gates for both the top and bottom of the flight, that can be attached should they be needed. - The windows in the upstairs rooms are close to the floor so not suitable for young children to be left on their own. - My husband and myself live on the property, about 250m away, and are on hand to help with anything that we are able to, if needed, but we will not intrude and only come over if called upon.
