Welcome to the beautiful, cosy and charming Mosasel Cottage. The house has 3 good bedrooms, full kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. At the back of the house facing south-west is a large porch with a hot tub. It is furnished with cosy chairs for sunbathing and an outside dining table, chairs and BBQ. The house is in a very peaseful and secured area. It is located close to the most beautiful nature in Iceland, only few minutes from Geysir, half an hour from Gullfoss and an hour from Þingvellir. The space Mosasel Cottage is a charming and cozy cabin in Úthlíð, a rural area in Bláskógabyggð, right on the Golden Circle area. The cabin has 3-bedrooms, full kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. If you want to be in a quiet setting, close to the most beautiful nature in Iceland, then this is the place for you. Geysir is just few minutes drive away and Gullfoss about half an hour drive away. We have everything you are looking for, comfortable beds, spacious inviting living room, big dining table, fully equipped kitchen (incl. Nespresso coffee machine and a dishwasher), Android flat screen TV, Bluetooth soundbar, WiFi, hot tub (not Jacuzzi), shower and BBQ gas-grill. This place is a nice getaway to relax and enjoy, in a very private, secure location, right in the middle of a scrub grown area. In the winter you can see the Northern Lights from the window or terrace, if you are lucky. The master bedroom has a 180 cm wide double bed with top quality mattress and a private wardrobe. One of the smaller bedrooms has a 130 cm wide bed and an upper bunk, and the other has a 120 cm wide bed and an upper bunk. In both of the smaller bedrooms you have wall hooks for clothes. Baby crib and a high chair for children is available. The house comes with linen and towels. The cottage has floor heating (geothermal). There is a great outdoor area around the house, a spacious wooden patio, outdoor furnitures and a hot tub with automatic thermostat, heated with geothermal hot water from the area. We are just off road 37, just north of Laugarvatn, secured by a closed gate, hidden in the woodland in a quiet road off the main road from Laugarvatn to Geysir. The area is closed off with a gate (controlled through a phonecall). Self check in with a key box outside the cottage. If in any doupt do not hesitate to contact me anytime. Nice places close by: Only 9 minutes drive to the restaurant and more at the farm Efsti-Dalur II (farm to table restaurant, homemade icecream and horse rental). Only 17 minutes from Laugarvatn (grocery store, swimming pool) and 13 minutes from Reykholt (swimming pool, restaurants, grocery store and more). Guest access Guests have access to the whole cabin and the hot tub. There is a free parking outside the cottage. - Guests need to go through a closed vehicle access gate, using a provided phonenumber. - The key to the cottage is outside the house in a locked keybox. Other things to note As you will be staying in someone’s summer house, we kindly ask that you treat it with care and respect. Please note that the hot water in Iceland is geothermal witch means it has sulfur smell and it can be really hot. The cold water is natural mountain water and good for drinking. Parties are not permitted. Pets are not allowed in the cottage. Please do not light fire, or use candles in the cottage, or anywhere on the surrounding property. No smoking or vaping allowed inside the cottage or on the surrounding property. Please report any damage to the owner immediately so that appropriate action can be taken.
