Description
Welcome to Anderson Lake Retreat - one of British Columbia's premier waterfront properties. Located less than 2 hours north of Whistler, this serene, one-of-a-kind retreat, is nestled in nature on 14 acres with 1,000 feet of lakefront. This remote property offers access to one of BC's most pristine lakes, majestic mountains, wilderness adventure, and extreme beauty. Enjoy this peaceful and inspiring place and experience BC at its finest! The space GETTING THERE: Access to our spectacular retreat is an adventure all on its own! Arriving by Car: If travelling by car, we require you to be pre-approved by us before you make the journey. We want to make sure you have the proper vehicle to travel on the remote mountainside road. You will require an All-Wheel or 4x4 vehicle with high clearance for the steep, dirt road that winds through hills and valleys, and around Anderson Lake. It is a beautiful and adventurous drive but it is essential that you be familiar with backcountry conditions. If you are approved and decide to drive, there is ample flat parking available on the property. Arriving by Boat: If you happen to have your own boat, you are welcome to use it but we don't have a dock. We have a break-wall and you can beach your boat but that may not work if you have a fancy boat. If not, we can arrange for a Water Taxi from the public dock in D'arcy (except on Wednesdays), located approximately 45 minutes north of Pemberton. The current cost for a water taxi is $150.00 each way. The boat ride takes at least 20-minutes depending on the weather conditions. When you arrive by boat, the main lodge is just a few minute's walk up from the beach. For special occasions, we can arrange transportation by helicopter or float plane. Ground transportation from Vancouver Airport can also be arranged. All transportation charges will be customized based on the situation. THE SPACE: Anderson Lake Retreat is THE perfect place to return to nature and truly unplug! Uniquely located at the crossroads of the coastal mountains where the rainforest ends and the dry aired climate begins. Anderson Lake often boasts some of BC's nicest weather. Our extraordinary 14-acre property provides a perfect space to gather with friends and family for a mini-getaway, intimate events, and retreats. Enjoy our 2-bedroom main lodge that currently sleeps 6 comfortably, and has all the amenities you may need. (Ask about camping options for additional guests - extra fees would apply). Update: Camping facilities are not available at this time). The remarkable custom-made main lodge has an incredibly artistic, and imaginative design to it. It is inspired by nature and built by hand. The natural materials used in the main lodge, along with the breath-taking views from every room, will allow you to feel totally immersed in and connected to nature. The design features high ceilings throughout the home, with a full kitchen and dining space to create meals and memories, as well as a living room with huge windows and incredible views. The master bedroom features its own small deck, an open-concept ensuite bathroom, fireplace, closet, a small loft, and large windows also with stellar views. The guest bedroom sleeps two people (there are two XL twin beds, which can also be pushed together to make a King.) This bedroom also has an open-concept bathroom - a bit weird but beautiful! Experience the peace and power of Anderson Lake. Take in the big mountain views, magical old-growth forests, pure fresh air, whispering winds, and other sounds of nature. Explore the gardens, grape vines, fruit trees, a spectacular beach, and pristine lake.j Guest access Guests have access to our extraordinary 14-acre property. Accommodation includes the entire 2-bedroom main lodge that can accommodate up to 6 people. Enjoy the usage of the well-equipped kitchen, dining area, living room, two bathrooms, and two outside decks that overlook the stunning mountains and lake. Please note the owner/caretakers may be on the property taking care of the landscaping, gardening, and making sure all runs smoothly. This will either be me and my husband, Greg, or our partners Victor and Heather. Other things to note Please be aware that the main lodge DOES NOT have internet nor TV. We want you to unplug! However, the Earthhouse (owner's suite), lower down on the property, does have internet and can be used at any time for wi-fi calling. We are happy for everyone to unplug up there but it's good to know you have access if you really need it. With that said, Wi-Fi services are not always reliable and should not be relied upon.
