Welcome to your elegant retreat in Jacksonville! This comfortable, stylish loft apartment sits steps away from extensive hiking & biking trails & only a 10-min walk from the cafés, music, and vibrancy of historic Jacksonville. It features a private entrance & patio, in-unit laundry, and a spacious bathroom with a soaking tub. A 20-min drive from Medford hospitals makes this a perfect spot for traveling healthcare workers. A built-in ladder leads to the lofted bedroom & home office. This is a two-story apartment with an open concept living area and spacious bathroom downstairs and a roomy bedroom upstairs that features an office space & reading nook with mountain views. A sturdy built-in ladder with rails leads to the bedroom upstairs. The kitchen has everything a person needs for cooking a full meal: —Two-top induction stove top —Toaster oven/air fryer —Microwave —Blender —Efficient and cute refrigerator/freezer combo —An assortment of cookware and utensils aims to meet every need! Coffee: —A coffee grinder, electric kettle, and french press provide a quality coffee bar. The kitchen also houses a stacked washer/dryer unit and an ample pantry space. We provide laundry detergent. There's room to hang up coats and a few clothing items here. We've also added an iron & ironing board. Up the ladder takes you to a spacious and cozy loft room with a quality memory foam mattress queen bed, a built in shelving unit with TV, and small home office with incredible views of the valley and far off mountains. The bedroom also has a six-drawer dresser for storage and a beautiful round west-facing window that makes the space fill with light every afternoon. Guests have full access the front yard, their patio, and the apartment. You'll see the hosts about tending the yard occasionally, but we usually enter through the opposite/garage side of the home. Our cottage is located on a very quiet cul-de-sac street with very little traffic, so your guest patio turns out to be a wonderful place to relax. We highly respect our guests' privacy and are also game to engage. Our house is attached, so we are easily contacted if guests need something, but the entrances and outdoor spaces have enough room that we don't feel crowded. We are a 10-minute walk from downtown Jacksonville. This is a quaint town of boutique shops, coffee houses, wineries, and restaurants. We're at the gateway to Applegate wine region (and near the Bear Creek wine trail). Jacksonville is also home to the Britt Music Festival. The 2023 lineup includes incredible artists such as Elle King, Shakey Graves, Diana Ross, Michael Franti, and an entire lineup of incredible orchestra performances. We live on a very quiet cul de sac located south/uphill from the main downtown. Two blocks walking east or west from the front door will find you at one of the area's famed trail systems. We have on-street parking for our guests. You can park on the street in front of our yard along the line of boulders that marks our front yard and just past the walkway that leads to the front door. We'll have a local trail map available for you if you're into hiking or mountain biking. We have two wonderful cats who live with us. They're pretty shy, but they might say hi.
