Just 20 km from the million-plus city of Stockholm, you can live and experience a centuries-old rural idyll with a farm and free-range animals. Here is also the entrance to the National Park with a unique nature and very old forest, silence and glittering forest lakes. Here you live with mooing cows and quacking ducks as your neighbors. Here you can rent bedroom 3 of 3 with a double bed. Here you can stay if you intend to visit Tyresta village and/or the national park and nature reserve. The space Bedroom 3 is upstairs, which you reach by stairs. You also have part of the kitchen and a bathroom with toilet and shower, which you share with the other tenants. Each guest is responsible for cleaning their bedroom and that the shared kitchen and large bathroom are kept clean. See photo of the cleaning routines. Guest access Right next to Janssongården/Vandrarhemmet is a conference facility, please respect and show consideration for other residents. Other things to note Janssongården is located in Tyresta village in Vendelsö/Haninge. The GPS coordinates for Janssongården are 59.167513,18.239442 To get from Stockholm Central Station to Tyresta by public transport, take commuter train 43 towards Västerhaninge and get off at Handen station. From there, take bus 834 towards Tyresta by and get off at the end stop, which is Tyresta by. The journey from Stockholm Central Station to Tyresta by takes about 45-60 minutes. Please note that buses to Tyresta by only run between approximately 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. (See the SL website for times) For guests arriving by car: free parking is offered 50 meters from the house. At 5:30 pm - 5:00 am on weekdays and around the clock on weekends, the gate into Tyresta village is closed. Additional information about this is provided to those arriving by car. Unfortunately, we cannot provide a charging station for electric cars. Bed linens and towels are included, you make and unmake the beds yourself. The accommodation is only for the tenants who are going to stay overnight, not for other visiting guests. In Tyresta village there is a café that is open during the day (see the website for Caféet i Tyresta by) and a country store that is open during the day Friday-Sunday. The nearest supermarket is in Brandbergen or Söderby, about 5-6 km from Janssongården. In Tyresta village there is also a conference facility for up to 10-12 conference guests.
