Tiny House, Lots of Sunshine in the Big D
Description
This memorable place is anything but ordinary. Experience a lot of tiny house and a bit of sunshine in the Big D. Click 'Show More' to learn more about the place. Have questions? Scroll to the bottom and click 'Message Host' The space ▶ What you get — You get to stay in a tiny house on wheels! Like you see in those tiny house shows. — For your safety and privacy, the door code is changed between each guest — The tiny house is very well insulated so you should stay warm on those cold Texas winters and cool during those hot Texas summers. Unless it gets over 110 degrees, any A/C is going to have trouble keeping up with that. — TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime — Fully plumbed bathroom with flushing toilet and a full-sized shower. None of this composting stuff. And the water pressure is pretty decent. — A queen-sized bed in the loft accessible using stairs. — A twin-sized Murphy bed is available if you need an extra bed. Let me know ahead of time that you need it so I can set it up for you before you arrive — The mattresses are rated 'medium-firm' - 98% of people love them and 2% of people say they are too hard. — Your choice of medium, firm, or extra firm pillows. — Full kitchen with Keurig coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge, cooktop, plates, pots, pans, utensils — Free parking in a fenced-in parking area used just by you and me, no one else. — Firepit and outdoor sitting area — Deep Ellum and Greenville Ave are a 5-minute drive away. — Lakewood Shopping Center with Whole Foods and restaurants is a 10-minute walk away. — Towels and sheets are laundered with fragrance-free detergent. Sensitive-skin people, rejoice! ▶ What you don't get (and why I'm cheaper than a lot of other places): — No pool or hot tub or grill — No laundry (not enough room - there are laundromats nearby) — No pets (pet-friendly places tend to charge more and my guests are usually visiting without pets so I can have a 'no pet' policy and charge less) — Not a lot of room for very tall people (it is tiny after all). — No list of chores. Seriously, cleaning is my job. Just let me know when you leave and that's it. Guest access Access is via keypad. I'll give you the code before you check in. The code is changed between guests. Once you're in, the place is your private space. Other things to note The extra bed is a Murphy bed. It is a shelf when not in use that can be folded down into a single-sized bed. In the listing pictures of the living room area, you can see it folded up and folded down. If you think you will be needing the extra bed, let me know before you arrive. I can have it ready and move stuff out of the way so you have room to move around. Access is through the alley. The alley is maintained by the city and can be kind of rough. If your car is low to the ground, you may want to consider parking in the cul-de-sac outside the alley or on the street in front of the house. Neighborhood cats like to visit the backyard. Most people like having the little visitors and they keep the pest population under control but I've had a few people leave a poor review because they saw a cat.
