Description
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. I am pleased to share my childhood home with you. And hoping to remind you of life from the 1970's and 1980's in small town America. Life was lived at a little bit slower pace. We played outdoors most of the time in the backyards. We ate popsicles and drank Pepsi on the front porch, as we laughed and read comic books. We played Barbies, Johnny West, and board games on rainy days on the same, big front porch. Return and remember. The space This Four Square style house was built in the late 1920's. It has a full porch across the front of the house, facing North Lincoln Avenue. The house does not have grounded outlets, but does have updated electrical service, newer plumbing, a new forced air furnace for heating & cooling, a new metal roof, and some replacement windows. More improvements to Mom & Dad's Place will continue. Guest access You get to use all of the first floor, 2 of the 3 bedrooms on the second floor; and 2 full bathrooms. The attic is off limits, as it is storage and needs cleaned and loved. (It is another level of this project and not yet on the "to do" list.) And the basement is available only if you need another exit from the house or to turn water supply on and off. (Again, another level of this entire project and not it's turn yet.) Please enjoy the big backyard and the front porch! :) (Improvements are also planned for these parts, but one step at a time.) Other things to note We've left space along the wall in the dining room for you to place your pet's crates, so you won't need to move furniture. And we’d appreciate you having your pets crated and downstairs, while you are sleeping.
