Bothan Nanna is a modern, comfortable little cottage situated on our property but with its own private garden. Dingwall is a great base for exploring the Highlands and a perfect place to start or finish the North Coast 500. A short 15 minute walk takes you into Dingwall town centre. The space The open plan living space has a well-equipped kitchen & dining area and the small double bedroom has a wardrobe & ensuite shower (as seen in the photographs, the bed is against the wall on one side). The patio area to the front is a lovely spot to relax & catch some rarely spotted sun (it is Scotland after all!). Other things to note The Royal Burgh of Dingwall is a small market town believed to have been established in the 11th century when Thorfinn the Mighty established his Viking parliament, the site of which was discovered under the town's Cromartie car park. Dingwall is also home to the first World Champion Haggis Maker, Cockburns the Butchers. A delicious Haggis that is a must try! The seat of Clan Mackenzie is 5 miles away at Castle Leod just outside the beautiful Victorian Spa village of Strathpeffer. The original seat of the clan was Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most photographed and romantic castles in Scotland and just an hour and a half drive away, depending on traffic. We live in an area of outstanding beauty with an abundance of things to see and do. Whether you like sightseeing, nature or adventure, Dingwall is a great base for your visit.
