Our Hobbit Hit is simple but is complete with a log burner, a double bed, compost toilet and a wood burning hot tub :) An experience to enjoy the outdoors and keep cost by the fire at the same time. The space The Hobbit Hut – A Peaceful Off-Grid Hideaway Inside you’ll find a snug double bed and our Eco 5 log burner with built-in oven, providing warmth during the colder months as well as the opportunity for simple fireside cooking. Extra Blankets provided for colder nights upon requests. We do provide some starter wood blocks (only for the log burner) 🔥 The Log Burner & Oven The Hobbit Hut now has an Eco 5 wood-burning stove with oven. There is no indoor BBQ. The stove provides the main source of heat for the hut and can also be used for simple cooking in its built-on top oven. Please bring your own suitable dry/kiln-dried logs or purchase wood from us during your stay. Wood must be small and dry. 🛁 Wood-Fired Baltic Hot Tub Beyond the round door, your wood-fired Baltic hot tub awaits beneath the stars, filled with fresh filtered water. There are NO bubbles or jets — just naturally heated water, soothing steam and the peace and quiet of the countryside. The hot tub is heated entirely by wood and takes approximately 2 hours in summer and 3–4 hours during colder winter weather. You can light and heat it yourself as part of the off-grid experience, or choose our Hot Tub Lighting Service for £60 which includes extra wood for fire pit too and means we’ll get it warming ready for you. 🔥 Wood You are very welcome to bring your own suitable dry/kiln-dried logs, or purchase wood from us: • Trolley of wood – £55 • Half builder’s bag of wood – £60 • Large builder’s bag wood – £85 Remember that you’ll need wood for the hot tub, outdoor fire pit and log burner if you intend to use them. The hut has soft solar lighting, a compost toilet and drinking water available at the tap that comes straight from our kitchen. Well-behaved dogs or cats are welcome for an additional £35 per dog or cat and must be added to the booking for insurance and cleaning purposes. 🌙 A True Outdoor Adventure When you open the doors, you’re opening your little retreat to the fresh Ribble Valley air and the surrounding countryside. As this is a rustic meadow retreat, you may occasionally encounter insects or other little visitors from nature — it’s all part of the outdoor experience! 🛏️ Sleeping Arrangements The hut has one small double bed measuring 180cm in width and 6ft ⚠️ Important Safety Information The Hobbit Hut is a small, rustic off-grid space with a wood-burning stove and limited indoor space. For safety and comfort, the listing is therefore primarily set up for two adults and may not be suitable for young children under five. A carbon monoxide alarm is provided inside the hut. Never cover, remove or disable the alarm. The log burner should only be used correctly and with the stove door closed during normal operation. If the carbon monoxide alarm sounds, leave the hut immediately, move into fresh air and do not re-enter until it is safe to do so. Please follow the stove and hot-tub instructions provided during your stay which are located on the wall by the double bed. Come prepared for proper countryside living, bring something warm, slow down and enjoy your own little piece of the Ribble Valley. 🌿🔥 Guest access If the host happens to be unavailable to greet you, don't worry! The door is open ready and is locked by two hooks ar the top of the inside door. Get ready to explore the entire cozy hut, plus the charming adjacent hut equipped with a off grid composting toilet house. And that's not all—indulge in the amazing wood-burning hot tub and gather around the outdoor fire pit for an unforgettable time! The door will be open - please park at the top of the field and make your way down to the hut on foot - its a short two minute walk Other things to note 🌿 A True Outdoor Adventure Awaits! When you leave the doors open, you’re not just letting in the fresh Ribble Valley air — you’re inviting nature itself to visit. Expect the occasional curious guest from the wild and embrace the magic of outdoor living! 🛏️ The hut includes one double bed only meausring 180cm in width and 6ft long. 🔥 The wood-fired hot tub takes around 2 hours to heat in summer and 3–4 hours in winter due to colder weather. You’ll need 4–5 bags of wood, or you can buy a trolley of wood blocks from us for £60 or half builders bag for £85 or large builders bag if you like to burn x ⚠️ Please note: the hut has open logburner and and limited indoor space, so it may not be suitable for young children under 5. The listing is therefore set for 2 adults only for safety and comfort. It is essential that all windows and doors are kept open when using the log burner to ensure full circulation of air and to avoid the carbon monoxide alarm going off - this is absolutely important !!! We provide a carbon monoxide alarm in the hut and if it goes off you must instantly go outside and allow the fire to die out and the alarm must then be placed back inside after the hut has been aired adequately to reenter. .
