Description

Enjoy the historic village of Tularosa in our adobe casita, perfect for a couple or single person. Our renovated 1860s casita is ~1000sqft with charming authenticity including hand plastered thick adobe walls, tile and wood floors, original vigas, a kiva fireplace in the main living area, courtyard, and nearby acequia providing soothing sounds from Apr-Oct. The casita is located in the heart of Tularosa, very walkable with galleries and gift shops. An excellent location for touring the area. The space The casita contains a pleasant living area for lounging, meal prep, and dining. There is a separate room with a futon for viewing the television. Wi-Fi is available with a separate work area with a desk. The full-size washer and dryer are available on the premises. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property. Someone may be over in the hotter months to water the outdoor plants. Other things to note The home is a renovated adobe dating to the mid 1860s. The floor is uneven in places, and some doorways are narrow. There is a step up to exit the back door to the garden area. The neighborhood is typical of historical Hispanic areas of New Mexico with the adobe homes built next to the narrow streets. There is parking for only one vehicle on the street next to the home. If you are towing a utility trailer, there may be secure parking available with prior notice at our home located nearby. There is a village siren for the volunteer fire department; it is not a tornado warning.
