Pretty country house near Sauternes

Pretty country house 35 minutes from Bordeaux, in a peaceful hamlet in the Landes forest, near Sauternes and the Ciron. Ideal for working or relaxing in the countryside, for a weekend or a holiday with family or friends. Large warm and friendly rooms, large covered terrace. Wifi with fibre. No air conditioning, but the house is very cool in summer. Noisy parties are absolutely forbidden. Sheets and towels for 20 euros per person. Cleaning for 150 euros. The space Restored in a healthy, ecological and traditional way, this country house benefits from the freshness of the stone and the large, warm and convivial rooms of yesteryear. The whiteness of the lime, the raw wood, the terracotta and the simplicity of things make the soul of this house. A large covered terrace to the west and a wooden terrace with a parasol to the east allow you to follow the course of the sun and enjoy the shade or the sun at any time of the day. Shade and coolness guaranteed in summer. Very pleasant warmth throughout the house in winter (central heating) Wifi with fibre works very well throughout the house. The networks are good, especially SFR. Sheets and towels are extra (20 euros per person). They are normally put on the beds but we can make the beds if you wish. The cleaning can be done by us for 150 euros. But even in this case, the house must be tidy, relatively clean and the rubbish sorted and disposed of. The house is located in a hamlet in the middle of the Landes de Gascogne nature park, close to the Ciron river (accrobranche, canoeing, fishing, swimming), to the lovely municipal swimming pool of Villandraut (with multi-sport fields), to the Hostens lake (swimming and leisure centre), to the golf course, to the medieval castles and to the Sauternes and Graves vineyards. There is a bathroom (bath and washbasin), separate WC and washbasin inside the house, and a second bathroom (shower, WC and washbasin) outside, accessible from the terrace. There is also a nice outdoor shower with hot water. Surrounding activities: Apart from walks in the forest around the house and the town of Bordeaux 35 minutes away, you can enjoy the Ciron (accrobranche, canoeing, fishing and swimming), the municipal swimming pool of Villandraut (three pools and a slide), the châteaux-forts of Budos, Villandraut and Roquetaillade, the Golf des Graves and Sauternais, the Hostens lake (magnificent area in the forest with supervised swimming, children's games and pedal boats), the beaches of the Bassin d'Arcachon or the Ocean and the wine Châteaux of Sauternais and Graves. Cleaning : You will find the house perfectly clean and tidy on arrival. The house should be carefully tidied up before you leave so that I and my family can arrive after you and find the house as we left it. Waste must be properly sorted. If this is arranged in advance, the cleaning can be done by us for 150 euros. But even then, the house must be tidy, relatively clean and the rubbish sorted and disposed of. Linen : Linen (fitted sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases, towels and tea towels) can be provided at an additional cost of 20 euros per person (20 euros for a single bed and 40 euros for a double bed). Pets : Because I want to keep the gardens and fabrics clean, I prefer not to accept animals. Shops : Laulan is a small hamlet without shops. But you will find : In Noaillan (five minutes by car): a Carrefour Contact supermarket (24-hour fuel, quality produce and meats), a bar-tabac open on Sundays, a bakery that bakes sourdough bread in a wood-fired oven, and a good takeaway pizzeria. In Villandraut (five minutes by car): all shops (bakeries, creamery, butchers, tobacconists, mini-markets, post office), municipal swimming pool open in summer, tennis courts, multi-sports stadium. In Sauternes (five minutes by car): restaurants, guinguette, bar-tabac open on Sundays, Sauternes wine sales. In Langon (fifteen minutes by car): railway station and all major supermarkets and shops, heated swimming pool and hammam open all year round, bowling, cinema, children's playground, hospital, bar-tabac open on Sundays, etc. Doctors and hospitals : In Villandraut and Sauternes (five minutes by car): medical houses with several medical and paramedical specialities. In Langon (fifteen minutes by car): a hospital (with a maternity ward) and a clinic. Guest access The house is rented in its entirety. I do not stay in the house. Travellers have access to all the gardens, terraces and outbuildings: a garden on each side of the house, to the east, west and south, with a large covered terrace to the west which opens onto an intimate enclosed garden patio and a wooden terrace to the southeast. Two or three cars can be parked in front of the house and a few more in the garden. I may not be there at the time of your arrival or departure, so the keys may be available on site.
