The Bunkhouse @Windaboo is the oh-so- slightly more rough and tumble baby brother of The Cottage @Windaboo. Both are set on a magical 127 acres of rolling green hills, remnant rainforest with flora and fauna galore. Guests can wander along bush tracks to the swimming hole, go for a trek up "the mountain" and meet our equine kids along the way. Windaboo is a working farm situated around 30 mins from Byron, 40 mins to Ballina airport, 60 mins from Coolangatta Airport. The space The Bunkhouse is smothered in natural light given it's northerly aspect, multiple sliding glass doors and windows. It has polished concrete floors throughout to compliment a mix of modern and antique rugs, artwork and eclectic pieces. It is comprised of 2 bedrooms, one with ensuite and an open plan living, dining, kitchen area & a separate bathrooms. Bedrooms can be configured with king beds that can be configured to 4 long singles or a combo of both!! The larger bedroom has a new sofa bed. Luxury linen is provided as are tea, coffee and basic essentials for cooking (oil, vinegar, S + P; the things people forget to bring :)). Complimentary high-speed internet, Netflix, a DVD player, Bluetooth stereo and an array of board games and lawn games are available to guests as well as Yoga mats and picnic blankets. For larger groups or extended families of up to 16 people, we suggest booking all of Windaboo. Guest access Guests will have full, private access to all areas of The Bunkhouse. Guests will also have shared access to the veg garden and home paddock and are welcomed to join us at feed time of our critters, meeting our many equine kids including our newborn foal, our goats, chooks and highlander bulls, Bill and Ted. On request, access to the swimming pool is available and we are happy to drop guests down to our private swimming hole or guests can go on an adventure & follow the track down manned with 2-way radios in case a lift back is needed :) Other things to note If planning on spending most of your stay in-house, we suggest stocking up on food supplies at Bangalow, Byron or Lismore.
