As you round the bend onto the property, the view opens up to three peaceful acres on the Saint George River — a tidal saltwater inlet with ocean air, wide water views, and wildlife right outside your door. Eagles, osprey, seals, and even porpoises are often spotted from the property. Kayaks are available for exploring the water, and the private tidal beach is shared only with us or guests who may be staying in the main house. The full yard rolls gently down to the shore, with Adirondack chairs perfectly placed for watching breathtaking sunsets over the river. It is incredibly quiet here, with the occasional lobster boat passing by as part of the charm. The studio itself is a unique apartment above the garage, filled with character and warmth. Exposed post-and-beam details, a gorgeous timber-frame ceiling, a luxurious new Four Hands king bed, organic sheets, and views of the water make the space feel both stylish and deeply relaxing. You’ll also be just a short walk from the newly updated Fort Point trailhead and a beloved freshwater spring where locals come to collect pristine drinking water straight from the ground. It’s the perfect place to unwind, reconnect with nature, or use as a peaceful launching point for Rockland, Camden, and the Midcoast. Please note: We updated the studio over the winter. There is now a beautiful king bed, and the shower has been fully enclosed, resolving the water issue a few past guests mentioned. Guest access You will have access to the full studio apartment which is an in-law above our garage and 3 acres of seaside beauty. There is one other house on site which we live in (and rent sometimes on airbnb as well) so you may be sharing the outdoor space with us or other guests. There is a private yard, beach to lounge, swim, and launch kayaks - or watch the incredible wildlife including many bald eagles, osprey, seals, and even porpoises!
