The space I discover the ancient villa surrounded by tall cypresses and olive trees.I meet Anna Brotto who has been restoring the villa since 1988 and enhancing its beauty with the addition of works of art. Anna tells me that she also organises artistic seminars on sculpture, painting and furniture restoration, as well as cooking, language and joga courses, even using extremal teachers not provided by the hotel. The villa has only nine romantic rooms and five appartements wich have separately well-equipped kitchens and also swimming pool, a big old park, tenniscourt, its own car park and a wonderfull private beach. I go on the marvellous terrace. A faschinating panorama, a sea of colours and peace. I dive into the swimmingpool, where the cypresses are reflected in its water with above them Manerba rock. I'm surrounded by a peaceful, romantic atmosphere, also in the eight bedrooms furnished with old fornitures. I go down into the ancient cellar where I can taste excllent wines and purest olive oil, produced here, as well as other local specialities. Guest access Anna’s family-style management creates an intimate, serene atmosphere even in the 9 romantic rooms decorated in classic style. Some are spacious, others smaller, but all unique and simple. The balconies are romantic, as are the gardens where the hammocks are hung. Both the rooms and the apartments are embellished with works of art by Anna and simple, restored, classic furniture chosen by the owner.
