Stay aboard the world famous THE GOLDEN HIND!!!!

STAY ABOARD THE WORLD FAMOUS GOLDEN HIND! For the first time in our 55 year history we will be giving guests the opportunity for a once in a lifetime experience of sleeping onboard THE GOLDEN HIND. We have created two cabins, a double room (3m x 2.3m) with a King Size Bed complete with a 60 inch smart TV and DVD player. The is also a 2 bed bunk room (2.2m x 1.9m). Please note there is no running water to the ship, there is a chemical toilet (suitable for 1s & 2's) but no shower facilities. The space To give as many people the opportunity as possible to stay on board we are limiting the stays to ONE night. Bookings can only be made directly through this site. Prices start from £225 per night. We require the full balance paid via BACs within 48 hours of booking. Although you will be staying on a replicia of a ship that Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the world in we have added some 21st century comforts. There is Wifi throughout this ship, have a 60 inch smart TV, with Prime and Netflix available and also a DVD player to enjoy with classic Pirate movies whilst onboard. You and your shipmates will enjoy exclusive use of the ship from 4pm on the day of your arrival until 10am the following morning. The nearest car park is at Brixham’s Freshwater car park TQ5 8BA. The Golden Hind has long been one of South Devon’s top attractions, welcoming thousands of visitors each year. Staying overnight will be a once in a lifetime experience for both young and old! Whether it’s sitting on the Quarter Deck seeing the sunset over Brixham Harbour or having fish and chips in the Great Cabin, we can guarantee a truly unique experience. Guest access Access will be provide by digital locks through out the ship. The main entrance to the ship can be locked by a padlock which you will receive a key for. Other things to note Please note this is a full sized replica of Sir Francis Drakes Golden Hind that circumnavigated the world (1577 -1580). We aim for our guests to be as comfortable as possible but there may be some issues beyond our control. There are steep stairs throughout the ship so if you have mobility issues this may cause issue. Also the ship floats when the tide is in so is moving for approximately 50% of the day, we have never had anyone seasick and is barely noticeable unless there is a storm etc. Please note due to other business commitments we are unable to check in guests after 4pm, however we can provide a self check in service if you are unable to arrive by this time.
