A modern, quiet mountainside home filled with light, with views of Mont Blanc. We have a small Endless Pool best for kids splashing around or adults to lap swim in. Expansive porch with comfy seating and outdoor dining. Hot tub. A smile-inducing homemade swing, long/fast zip line, large trampoline. Loft toy area, indoor swing. Amazing sunrises for early risers. Hiking/biking trails start out our front and back gates, and Crozet's télécabine is a 12-minute walk away (open weekends July/August). The space Spacious open plan dining and living room. Dining room table seats 8 comfortably and up to 12 if your group likes one another and knows how to cram in. Kitchen table has four stools (extra stools in the basement). 4 Bedrooms and a TV room: The ground-floor master bedroom and basement-level guest bedroom each have queen beds, private bathrooms and a couch that babies/toddlers could sleep on. The two kids bedrooms each have single beds with an additional mattress, so potentially sleeping two to each room for children up to age 10 or so. The TV room has a large couch that can sleep three smaller kids or two (adventurous? willing?) teens/young adults. Other stuff: Small basement exercise area with weights and a treadmill, next to the full laundry area. Kids bikes you are free to use. Adjustable height basketball hoop. Outdoor fire pit. 8 person limit? First of all, as said above, the bed situation really only accommodates four adults, unless you have some young or very open-minded adults in your group who would take the TV room. We wrote in an 8 person limit because much more than that and I think the house starts to get full. But if you have another small child or two, we have several couches they could sleep on. Guest access The whole house is yours. Other things to note Hello! A note to mention that this is our home, not a full time, sterile rental unit. We think you can have a great time here (with or without kids). But we ask you to treat it with respect, please. IMPORTANT: We have two dogs, and while they won't be at the house when you are, people with dog allergies will want to evaluate if this is a problem for them. Also, we have a cat, who *will* be at the house, and may meow from time to time, which means he really wants you to feed him some wet cat food if you'd be so willing. Child safety: Our zipline is fast, so please help your children the first time or two. The swing is best with adult supervision. And our pool deck has a long drop-off: kids must be told not to go near the edges! Location: We're about 20 minutes to the Geneva airport, even less in low traffic. And we're about 30 minutes to Geneva's lakefront area. We're also about 10 or 12 minutes to the CERN tram stop.
