Charming, comfy Shepherd Hut in rural location

Our comfortable, cleverly-designed Blackdown Shepherd Hut is on a hillside, with lovely views, stretching to the Firth of Forth and beyond. You can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, whilst in easy reach of the best Fife has to offer! Everything you need for a delicious breakfast is provided - eggs from our hens and ducks, locally-produced Puddledub bacon or veggie sausages if you prefer, bread from a local bakery, butter, jam. You'll also find coffee, tea, and milk in the Hut. The space The Hut is well equipped, with a wood burning stove (wood provided), two-ring cooker (no oven), fridge, pots and pans, kettle. There is a separate toilet/shower room, with plenty of towels. You will enjoy a good night's sleep in the full-size double bed, which folds away to create comfy seating and eating area. Outside you'll find a table and chairs, and a Cobb BBQ and fire pit if you decide to cook out of doors. We are sorry, but we can't accept pets as we have a dog here, together with two cats, and there are animals on the farm. Please note, the shepherds hut is next to our family home so you might see us around, and we’re on hand for any queries, but of course we’ll respect your privacy at all times. Guest access There is a spacious garden surrounding the hut, and visitors are welcome to wander through the small woodland beside our house. We live in the farmhouse, but the farm is not ours - it's a working farm, and not accessible to guests. The approach road is rough, but fine if you drive carefully! There is plenty of parking beside the Hut. Please note that the Hut is entered via three wooden steps; we regret that it is not suitable for wheelchair users. Other things to note We don't have an EV charger, but you can plug in your electric vehicle to a socket in our stables, if you have a cable.
