Here you will find an open, safe and sacred space, a home enveloped by nature that will nurture your mind, body and soul. Quinta Catrinandes is a home, that includes a main house and an adjacent hall - Rose Hall. You will be staying in one of the rooms of the main house. Surrounded by five acres of sacred land, with many oak trees, chestnut & hazelnut trees, eucalyptus & pine trees. Feel the soul of Catrinandes in the seven ancient olive trees that line up facing west towards Serra do Caramulo. The space Catrinandes offers the following rooms to guests: The Olive Trees Room (with ensuite and 1 large double bed - 180cm x 200cm), as shown in photos); The Oak Tree Room (with ensuite and 1 large double bed - 180cm x 200cm), as shown in photos); The Hazelnut Trees Room (with ensuite and 2 single beds, as shown in photos); The Pine Tree Room (with ensuite and 2 single beds, as shown in photos); The Orange Tree Room (2 single beds, as shown in photos); The Eucalypt Tree Room (2 single beds, as shown in photos) and The Roots Rooms (a double bed -140cmx200cm with a shared ensuite bathroom with an adjacent single room, ideal for a family of 3). All eight rooms are located on the first floor. Catrinandes is wheelchair friendly and we have a residential elevator in the main house. ROOM AMENITIES All rooms have air conditioning, wall fitted wardrobes, top quality mattresses, linen set of sheets, winter or summer duvets, as well as traditional Portuguese made cotton blankets and good quality pillows. Bath and face towels are provided. Hair dryers are available in all bathrooms. The rooms are tastefully decorated with simplicity and love. Guests will also be able to enjoy the spacious living room with its wood burning stove with confortable seating sofas. Guests are welcome to access and enjoy the books during their stay. During your stay At check in we will provide you all information and contacts needed to get in touch with us during your stay. Other things to note We have bicycles available for rent. In the Rose Hall, you can experience a yoga class with me (International Certified Yoga Teacher) and/or do your own practice, subject to availability and additional fee. We also have an in-house International Certified Coach & Akashic Record Master that you could book session(s) with during your stay. Subject to availability and additional fee. Outside Catrinandes there is also a range of activities to be experienced: pottery lesson with local potters, visit the traditional black clay pottery workshops, visit Caramulo Mountain range, its Museum and experience center. Enjoy nature walk trails, cycle in the Eco Pista do Dão, visit Viseu or visit the Dão wine region with a wine tour at Casa de Santar. There is something for everyone and we are happy to help designing and planning your stay in this beautiful and authentic region.
