The space The Rock House is located at the edge of the woods on an 80 acre working farm with a lake, several ponds, 40 acres of pasture and another 40 acres of hardwood forrest. The large ranch style home is furnished with a mixture of rustic, antique and modern accents to create a relaxing environment for your stay. There is a canoe and row boat on the lake with life jackets and an assortment of outdoor games, board games and puzzles. The hearth-room has a stone fireplace and is set up with an easy light fire log for a trouble free evening by the fireplace. We also have outdoor furniture and 2 fire pits for your cook out. On the screen porch you will find a charcoal grill and a Black Stone griddle for your afternoon BBQ. we are located about an hour from Kansas City so we are a great location for a quick getaway. Guest access When you stay at the Rock House you will have exclusive access to our 5 acre private lake located just outside the front door and 2 additional fishing ponds located beside the 1/4 mile private drive. We also have a network of hiking trails through hardwood forrest and over open grassy hillsides. This listing includes your choice of the second floor suite with a king size bed and a private bath or the main floor master suite with a king size bed and private bath. We ask that you leave the other bedrooms and bathrooms undisturbed so that our cleaning staff does not have excessive cleaning after your stay. You will have exclusive access to the entire property (Do not go in the open fields if there are cattle grazing at the time of your stay).
