Relax in nature at this unique and tranquil getaway. The Creek Cabin is a secluded cabin that sits on the edge of a high bank of a spring-fed creek. A screened-in porch allows you to sit outside and enjoy the sounds of the rippling creek below and the multitude of singing birds in the trees above. This comfortable cabin is completely isolated beneath a thick canopy of tall hardwoods and East Texas pine trees. Multitudes of windows bring the outdoors indoors for your enjoyment of wildlife. The space NOW...PET FRIENDLY! (extra fees apply) This cabin may look rustic on the outside, but it offers all the comforts inside. And now you can enjoy it with your furry friend! You'll find everything you need for a relaxing stay. It is located in a very secluded part of the property, so privacy is practically guaranteed! The cabin has a compact, open-concept layout, which means there is no private bedroom. The bedroom/sitting area has a comfortable king-size bed and an electric fireplace for cozy ambience. The sunroom encourages nature gazing with two oversized window seats that double as dining seating and extra bedding suitable for our younger guests. (NOTE: Please be aware that this cabin's location is on a high creek bank with no protective railing.) The kitchenette has a microwave, drip-style coffee maker, full-sized refrigerator/freezer, and a convection/toaster oven. Additionally, an efficiency-sized stove/oven combo is located on the screened-in porch. It also has essential dining and cookware. The cabin has a private bath with a shower (no tub). ***IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THIS CABIN & OUR PROPERTY*** The Creek Cabin has a separate entrance from the property's main entrance and is shared by one other cabin. The hot tub, laundry room, and activity field are shared amenities. These are located past the main house, so you will likely want to drive to them. The hot tub may be reserved for an hour of private use; however, you do not have to reserve it to use it. All other amenities are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We have a NO SMOKING/VAPING policy. Smoking is only allowed outside the cabin, away from open doors and windows. Extra fees will be charged if we determine smoking has occurred inside the cabin. Guest access Your cabin is on 250+ acres and has multiple trails for exploring the woodlands. We offer golf cart rentals for an additional fee. A link will be provided in your reminder or check-in message if you'd like to rent one. We offer a contact-free check-in. You will be provided a map and directions to your cabin when you arrive at the main house on the property. You will have full access to your cabin and will find a key inside so you can secure your possessions if you leave. This cabin has a separate driveway from the main entrance. It is a well-maintained gravel/dirt driveway that is shared with one other cabin, which is not visible from your cabin and cannot be seen as you enter or exit. This other cabin is also pet-friendly and is primarily used for extended-stay guests. You also have access to a free laundry facility attached to the hot tub area. All guests on the property have access to the hot tub, but it may be reserved for private use for an hour at a time for no additional fee. The laundry/hot tub area is accessible through the main entrance to the property or on the trails via a golf cart. Other things to note Although we aren't very far from great places to eat, you may never want to leave the property once you arrive! Feel free to bring your own food or visit one of our local grocery stores to stock up for the weekend. We have tried to provide everything you'll need in the kitchen, but if something is missing, we will be happy to accommodate any reasonable requests. Look through the Stag Leap Guest Book for suggestions of places to eat, shop, and play. We are located just 10 miles outside of Nacogdoches, the oldest town in Texas, and 4 miles from beautiful Lake Nacogdoches, where you can enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, picnicking, and disc golf. Our area is full of history and offers many beautiful places to explore! We have six other cabins on the property, but they are spread out and tucked into natural surroundings to provide our guests with maximum privacy.
