This remodeled 1959 STUNNER sits on 5 fenced acres of tranquil desert land, surrounded by nothing but desert, sky and distance. Soak in the hottub/pool or sip a cocktail from the covered patios. Bring your loved one(s) and get ready to unwind and reconnect. The space Welcome to Wonder Valley, 25 min East of the new entrance to Joshua Tree National Park in 29 Palms, and a designated Dark Sky area for the BEST stargazing in the West. One mile down a dirt road you will arrive at Wonder Valley Zen, a well appointed property with majestic views and captivating desert landscape from the Amboy Mountains to the Hills of Joshua Tree National Park. The house has an open floor plan with windows in every direction. A new kitchen, new appliances, dishwasher, AC, WI-Fi, designer bathrooms and more! The house is ideal for 2-4 guests, but can sleep up to 6 guests. Both bedrooms have a super comfortable king size bed with Zinus memory foam mattresses, different pillow options and ultra soft bedding. Additionally you will have 2 single roll away beds available for your sleeping options. Additional 2 desks for the remote workers. Starlink internet provides FAST internet connection for those video calls. Stacked washer/dryer for your long stay convenience. The huge detached garage has been converted into a luxurious game room/entertainment lounge with AC, Pool table, Yoga mats, multiple seating options and a TV. Lounge in comfort from the large covered patios, that offers shade in the summer and shelter in the winter. Dine Al fresco with outdoor dining table and propane fired bbq, or stargaze under the MilkyWay and distant galaxies, in natural seclusion with hundreds of acres of untouched, raw virgin desert BLM land in the distance. Soak up the sun in your private Cowboy Pool (open April through October) or relax in the HotTub (open YEAR ROUND)) Cozy up by the fire pit Relax in the hammock. Play poker on the porch, or sip a glass of wine out back as the strawberry light of sunset wets the Amboy Hills. 3 hours drive from LA, San Diego or Las Vegas, and just 25 min from Joshua Tree National Park's new entrance. 20 minutes to downtown 29 Palms with its blossoming nightlife, restaurants, cafes, and boutiques, 35 minutes to eclectic downtown Joshua Tree, 60 minutes to Pioneertown, and 75 minutes to Palm Springs. POOL Open April through October. HOT TUB Open year round. To keep the HotTub and Pool sparkling : * Serviced before EVERY stay. * Pool Not Heated! * HotTub heated to 104F * No lifeguard on duty. * Usage 100% on your own risk. * Everyone MUST shower before use, and wipe feet before entering. *Must be covered after every use. NOTICE ABOUT PET We accept 1 small well behaved, flea treated and housebroken dog. We accept one dog only - no other pets. Any dog MUST be disclosed - even if it is a service dog! We need to take proper precautions to have time and pest control ready after your stay and before a new guest checks in. Always keep an eye out for your pet. Never leave your dog alone in the house. Your dog can't ever be allowed in our beds or furniture. We provide a small dog bed - but bring your own blanket/bed if that is what your dog prefers. If your dog is used to be in beds and furniture this house is not for you. Please find another pet friendly accommodation that will allow such. Always pick up after your pet. Poop-bags provided. EV CHARGING: We do have a Tesla charger at the property. Charging costs 25/charge after 9pm applied at check out, as they are not included in the nightly rate. Superchargers located in Yucca Valley and 29 Palms. GOOD NEIGHBOR: The property is located in San Bernadino County with strict Short-Term rental regulations. The county will strictly follow their guidelines. They are NOT accepting parties, loud behavior/ loud music or dangerous behavior. Quiet hours MUST be respected and lights turned off/dimmed after 10pm. Please check out our Guide Book for local recommendations. PLUMBING: This rural property has a Septic tank. Please follow guidelines. Well: The house has its own well. We have installed Reverse Osmosis system for water to be drinkable from the small faucet by the kitchen sink. We aim to give you a 5-star stay and rely on you to treat the place likewise. Guest access You will have access to the entire property. Other things to note PLEASE READ THIS SECTION TO THE VERY END :-) The property is located off the beaten path in a rural secluded desert area. Some would say at The End of The World. SAFETY One guest Must be 25 years of age and responsible. 45 min to nearest hospital (High Desert Medical in Joshua Tree) Fire extinguisher and first aid kit under Kitchen Sink. DRIVING Please observe the 15mph limit when driving on the dirt road for neighbor courtesy (dust control) Always check the weather forecast ahead of your stay. With heavy rain, the roads can become flooded! WATER/ICE The house is on a private well, but we have installed a new filtration system to provide drinkable water from a separate faucet in the kitchen. Ice trays provided, or bring your own ice. PLUMBING The house is on a septic tank. Do not bring additional guests above max occupancy. Only flush toilet paper and human waste in the toilet. The reason: a septic tank works by composting the waste. Feminine products, diapers, rubber etc can’t be broken down and will build up in the septic tank. If the plumbing clogs due to items flushed in the toilet you are liable to pay for the repair. INTERNET As of 1/1 2023 we have high speed StarLink Internet. Cell phone reception varies among different service providers. It is not allowed to tamper or disconnect the WiFi. STARTERKIT Fuel up and stock up with all your necessities because shopping is a 25 min drive away and there is no food delivery to the desert area. We will provide a starter kit of oil, salt/pepper, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, trash bags, and pods for the washer and the dishwasher. TOWELS 2 towels and 1 washcloth per person + access to 1 pool towel per person DESERT ANIMALS Desert animals are native to the area and you should be careful outdoors. Always wear closed shoes outside. Animals that you can meet include but are not limited to: snakes, lizards, scorpions, beetles, grasshoppers, spiders, rats, mice, coyotes, gnats, moths and flies. All doors are sealed and we do all we can to keep wildlife outside and you should too. Please keep the doors closed at all times. There will be given NO refund for desert animals as they are native to the area and you are the guest. NOISE Noise travels quickly, so be respectful of your surroundings. Quiet hours are between 10 pm and 7am. San Bernadino county regulations. You are of course welcome to enjoy a night under the skies, but you must use your small voices and not play any music. FIRE: We do provide propane to our 2 propane fired fire-pits. Do not bring firewood and do not start a bonfire. We are in the desert, which has strong winds and a sputter from a bonfire can set the desert and the neighborhood on fire in the blink of an eye. SMOKING: We do not allow any kind of smoking indoors. If you choose to smoke outdoors, you must dispose of butts safely and appropriately. Do not throw them on the grounds. DRUGS/WEAPONS. No drugs or weapons of any kind are allowed on the property. TRASH: The trash container is next to the front metal gate and is emptied every second Friday around noon. All trash should be in CLOSED trash bags and placed inside the container. NO trash next to trash bins or it will attract coyotes and rats. There is no recycling bin. Please consider hauling your recyclables with you and help save the Planet. Do not throw trash outside (attracts coyotes, rats/mice, bugs etc) Do not leave food out inside. (Smell, bugs) VIDEO SURVEILLANCE: There are 2 ring doorbells and 2 Ring cameras on the property. One doorbell is located next to the front door. One doorbell is located next to the garage door 1 video camera is located on the house monitoring the gate entrance. 1 video camera is located on the house monitoring the front entrance. You are not allowed to cover the video cameras. No inside cameras! CHECK-OUT: Securely close and lock doors and windows before you leave, including the 2 sliding doors. Take all trash to the trash bin next to the entrance gate. Load the dishwasher and turn it on. Set hottub to 104F. When booking this property you acknowledge that you are on your own in the middle of nowhere. Weather, wildlife, power outages and your behavior is out of our control.
