Within walking distance is a village shop & fuel pumps, GP surgery, garage & small playpark. Bixter House is adjacent to the Bixter Shop which is run by the same family. The space Bixter House has 4 double en-suite rooms and a family suite with 2 adjoining bedrooms and ensuite bathroom with bath & shower. There is a WC downstairs, spacious kitchen/dining room, utility room/back porch & sitting room. It's a recently renovated property that is over 100 years old. Ground Floor Bedroom 1 - double bed; en-suite shower room; seating area; garden/sea view; airy & high ceilings. Ground Floor Bedroom 2 - double bed; en-suite shower room; smaller cosy room to the rear of the property. Ground Floor - Sitting Room, Kitchen/Dining Area, WC & utility room/back porch. First Floor Bedroom 3 - double bed; en-suite shower room; garden/sea view. First Floor Family Suite - double bedroom; adjoining bedroom with single bed & single bed settee; en-suite with bath & shower. Please note the adjoining bedroom is only accessed through the double bedroom. There are TVs in the property which are smart TVs so that guests can log into their own streaming services. At present there is no aerial/satellite for freeview channels. A dvd player & selection of DVDs can be made available on request. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the whole property, which is a detached property with private garden & car park. Other things to note Items for children & babies can be made available on request: high-chair, cot, baby plates/cups, children's toys & books, buggy/stroller, etc. Late check out can be arranged directly with the host for an additional fee and depending on availability. This is often useful when waiting to leave on the overnight ferry to Aberdeen which sails at 5 or 7pm. The owners also run the Bixter Shop which is the village shop next door to Bixter House. The Bixter Shop sells groceries, alcohol, toiletries & medicines, local produce, fuel (petrol/diesel), hardware & toys. The shop is open 7 days a week which gives guests immediate access to helpful staff during shop hours (Mon - Sat 8am - 7pm & Sun 12 - 5pm). There is an electric charging point in a nearby public car-park - approximately 2 minutes walk from Bixter House.
