Cat Linn Cabin - secluded semi-off-grid log cabin

Get away from it all in this cosy semi off-grid cabin with a touch of luxury. This secluded cabin is a hidden gem off the beaten track just outside the town of Moffat. So if private walks, nature, dark skies, wild swim spots, cosy log fires or evenings on the veranda are for you, then you'll love it! Children and dogs are welcome too. The farm has old woodland glens with our very own gorge, ponds which attract a variety of birds and open hill land with a cairn overlooking the town of Moffat. The space Cat Linn Cabin is situated on our working farm in the Moffat hills. It is an open plan space with attached bathroom. The cabin has a beautiful south facing veranda which benefits from all day sun! The main area consists of a double bed and sofa bed, dining area and kitchenette and the bathroom has a powerful walk-in shower with flushing toilet and hand basin. Although the cabin is predominantly off-grid, it benefits from mains water which is heated by LPG gas. It is a well insulated cabin with log burner and 10.5 tog duvets/blankets. The cabin uses a portable power station which provides enough power for lights and charging phones/laptops. However we do ask that you try to enjoy a simpler way of life by keeping power use to a minimum and therefore we encourage you to leave hairdryers etc at home. The kitchen has a large gas oven and hob, a cool box and a quirky fridge alternative in the nearby stream! Please note: there is no standard fridge in the cabin, however you have access to a fridge 300m away near the farm steading. Although we do not offer Wifi, most phone networks (except 3 nework) have access to 4G in the cabin. The cabin is in a beautiful setting with near-by stream and swing set for the kids to enjoy! Maximum 2 dogs allowed and due to livestock and young birds, we kindly ask that they are kept on leads out with the cabin field.
