You’ll fall in love with the charming Swiss Alps aesthetic that carries through the open floor plan of this quiet, peaceful home. Lounge around the fire or watch the game on the 55-inch tv while you prep your apres-ski meals. Set back from the road but accessible to Route 100 and Mad River Valley amenities. Catch the free shuttle at the end of the driveway for a ride to the slopes! The space You’ll enjoy an inviting living area on the first floor with exposed wooden beams and a gorgeous stone fireplace surround. The entire home is newly furnished with quality furniture and new mattresses. Brand-new white linens, towels and duvet covers. The kitchen is fully equipped with a four-burner stove and oven, dishwasher and refrigerator. Enjoy your choice of morning coffee at the bar area or dig in at the dining table for six. The mudroom next to the full bathroom on the first floor holds all your ski or biking paraphernalia. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and another full bath. The master and another bedroom has queen beds, the third offers twin beds for a family or third couple. The office area in the master bedroom is the perfect, quiet place to work from home. The desk has a monitor, keyboard and mouse for you to dock to, and connects to high speed Wi-Fi. There’s a comfortable, ergonomic desk chair. Outside there’s parking for three cars. An inviting rock wall borders a play lawn in front of the house. Barbecue outside on the gas grill and dine at the picnic table or lounge on the deck chairs in the private area at the side of the yard. Or just sip a glass of wine at the little cafe table! In the winter, our property manager plows consistently to keep the driveway clear, and the steps to the front door have heated mats for safety. Amenities: Washer and dryer located in mudroom for easy access Mudroom cubbies and a large bench to get suited up Coffee makers: your choice of Nespresso, Keurig or drip Liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers installed in the showers Games, puzzles and other snowy day activities TV provides streaming service Gas grill, picnic table, cafe table and lounge chairs. Things to note: The property has a shared access road and private driveway that is dirt NOT paved. Although plowed regularly, guests should be prepared for snow, ice, mud and puddles and should have weather appropriate tires for the Vermont seasons i.e. snow tires, AWD or tires capable of driving through aforementioned conditions. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house. Other things to note After years of renting in the Mad River area, I understand what guests are looking for. I was tired of checking into shabby properties with thread-bare linens, second-hand furniture and ill-equipped kitchens. I am striving to provide an exceptional value in a get-away, and hope to exceed your expectations. Please note that the property is for 6 guests maximum and there are no parties allowed.
