Looking for a little break from the city’s hustle and bustle? Take some time to step out of the fast lane and enjoy a slow life for a while. Our humble cozy tiny home in the countryside, two hours north of Iloilo City, could be a little fortress and refuge for you. Experience simple living as this place only provides you with only the bare necessities. Sleep to the sound of the crickets and wake up to the freshness of the morning dew. This place hopes to hold a safe and restful space for you. The space Balay Hilway is a cozy rustic cabin in the countryside, something that came about during a community project and outreach for children called "Project Hilway" amid the pandemic. It was intended to be a humble abode and refuge for the project’s volunteers. Soon after the end of the project, Balay Hilway continued to serve a good purpose - to be a regenerative space open to folks who want to experience the joy and freedom that come with slow and simple living. This continues to be an extension of our outreach and community project. To manage expectations, Balay Hilway is not a resort or a recreational center with fancy amenities. The goal is to immerse you in the so-called “pangabuhi sa uma” and feel at home close to nature. We experienced the joy of slow living and freedom from the usual pressure of city life, and we thought we could share this gem of a space with others. —— This place is an invitation to come back to basics and to discover the beauty of simple living.
