The Osprey Nest: Mountain Retreat w Private River

The Osprey Nest is so much more than a cabin nestled in the wooded mountains. It is a private, peaceful getaway on the Umpqua river; perfect for multiple families wanting to gather together. The newly remodeled home has large windows and multiple decks offering fantastic views of the river and surrounding mountains. The Boathouse: an outdoor pavilion with grills, sink & outdoor shower. 300 ft private waterfront. This area is known for its fishing, vineyards, waterfalls and hot springs The space Plan your next family vacation on the river! There are wonders to explore every season. You can float kayaks, rafts and boats down this pristine section of the Umpqua river. This river is well known for Steelhead, Chinook, Coho and Bass fishing. Fall Chinook, Winter Steelhead, Spring Chinook, Summer Bass....any season you pick, they are biting.... You can cast your lines from the shore and tote your fish up the barn to clean and grill them for dinner on one of the pellet smoker/grill for dinner. Stay a while so you have time to tour the Umpqua Valley vineyards or take a day trip to Crater Lake. A great family photo op can be at one of the six covered bridges in Douglas County. The Boathouse This renovated space contains beautiful large windows, outdoor seating with direct access to the river. The barn is equipped with an oversized Pellet grill and Blackstone griddle. Have fun with a shuffle board tournament, dartboard or giant wall mounted connect four. There are tables and chairs in the barn perfect for an evening game of cards. The House Kitchen-Fully equipped, cooking basics such as pots, pans, utensils, automatic drip coffee maker, hot water kettle, dishes and flatware. Dining room- Table that sits eight. Deck-3 levels of deck with outdoor seating areas and outdoor dining. Enjoy views of mountains, river and garden. Multiple common spaces- Family room upstairs with sofas and recliners. Downstairs has TV and comfy queen sofa bed. There's another nook with a futon bed and twin bed. General Complimentary Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, towels/linens, shampoo, soap, conditioner, blow dryer. Central heat and AC Living room- Plenty of seating with TV Bedroom 1- main level with queen bed Bedroom 2- upstairs with 3 twin beds Bedroom 3- Lower level with queen bed Sleeping space 4- Downstairs family room with a pull-out sofa, futon bed and twin bed. Pets Dogs are considered with a limit in the house of two for an additional pet fee. $50/ pet fee. Cats are not allowed. RIVER ACCESS. Life jackets are required. Please bring your own life jackets. RENTALS: Kayak rentals available for additional fees. Propane rental available for a fee. Blackstone Grill and Traeger Pellet Smoker Provided. Guest must clean after use with provided cleaning supplies. Cleaning fee will be applied if grills are not cleaned after use. Guest access Guests will have 300 ft waterfront access to the Umpqua River. The Boathouse is an outdoor pavilion that includes fully functioning outdoor kitchen, gathering space, game room and outdoor showers. Guests will have access to the entire house with the exception of two locked closets where the owners keep their personal belongings. RIVER ACCESS: Blue signs point yo tiberfront access. Directly below the property is a foot trail. There is also a shared dock on the downstream neighbors property where guests can easily access the river & moor boats. There are floating pads during summer months. 300 ft. private grass riverfront property. Other things to note A friendly reminder of the following important house rules: • Parties or events are not allowed. • The home is prepared for 8 people. Additional guests will be considered on case-by-case basis with additional fees. • Sensitive Septic System: Please do not flush feminine products or ‘flushable’ wipes in toilets. Please do not pour grease or food into sinks. • No open wood fires are allowed. Propane firepits available for use. Bring your own propane or purchase ours for a fee. • Kayaks and canoes are available to rent for an extra fee. Bring your own fitted life jacket to use while on the river. • We can arrange for guided fishing services. Please contact us early for fishing guide services. Fishing poles available for rent. Bring your own tackle and bait. •Outdoor shower available.
