We've spent the last 4 years cultivating our 20 beautifully forested acres into a destination that inspires many of our guests to return time and time again to unplug, relax and enjoy our new projects we're always working on. Here at Elfendahl Forest, you'll have the chance to unplug from the electronic hustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the fairytale surroundings that make this destination so special. Explore hundreds of acres of state lands with trails and roads that surround us, and are perfect for adventure. State parks, the Hood Canal, and fresh water lakes are just minutes away and offer opportunities for swimming, kayaking, fishing and more. We also have an assortment of outdoor games like Axe throwing, bocce ball, corn hole and our amazing kids play area and more. Our vegetable gardens, outdoor kitchen, outdoor shower, and community fire pit are at your disposal. Join us for movie nights during the summer in our unique outdoor theater, and feel free to get involved or learn something new with one of our many ongoing projects and workshops. Our unique community kitchen is equipped with a propane stove/oven, dishes, and utensils for your convenience, and we have some vegetables and herbs in our gardens to share. The private outdoor shower boasts on-demand hot water that you can adjust to your preference. we have our famous composting toilets Louie the 1st ,2nd & 3rd that are much cleaner and more comfortable than a traditional porta potty (without the strange blue chemicals) while saving hundreds of gallons of water each week. If you rent our Lotus tent or the Wander bus, you'll have access to your own private composting toilet. We want your stay to be as memorable as possible, so please don't hesitate to let us know if you need anythingat all, we're here to make your visit one of your best yet. Guest access: At Elfendahl Forest, we invite you to explore our 20 acres of beautiful forested land, as well as the hundreds of acres of surrounding state land. Additionally, we remind guests that Washington forests are home to a variety of wildlife, so it's important to exercise caution and respect their habitat. We encourage you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Elfendahl Forest and all it has to offer, and enjoy an experience you won’t soon forget. *If you are staying in one of our tents or the Wanderbus you won't need a lot but a few things will make your stay more enjoyable like... -flashlights/headlamps - bug spray - your favorite camp chair (we provide some too). - enough food for your stay. - cooler and ice (we do have an extra cooler for your use).. *we will have drinking water and Free fire wood! -Please note: There is a 25$ pet charge. PLEASE NOTE: Elfendahl Forest is a unique, off-grid homestead campground—not a luxury resort. Here, you'll find a whimsical and creative space filled with fairy gardens, imaginative art, and the charm of nature at its core. As a working homestead, you may also see tools, equipment, and projects that help keep our community running smoothly. We aim to be as transparent as possible about what to expect, so you can fully enjoy the magic and authenticity of your stay with us. Guest access You can park right next to the Wanderbus, and let yourself in. There are instructions on the counter that explain most everything. A staff member or I should be around just across the little road where you find the community kitchen and area, sit and relax under our famous umbrella canopy, or stroll along the loop trail where you’ll find many of our whimsical garden features plus our cute bunnies to pet, watch "chicken T.V" at the chicken coop or hangout at our large vegetable and flower garden and enjoy the sun and much more. Other things to note Guidelines - While we do have some electricity for charging phones or laptops in the bus, it won't be able to handle any larger appliances. We kindly request that any fires be kept to a safe size and location, taking care to avoid any nearby trees or objects. In the unlikely event of an emergency, a fire extinguisher is provided. Please remember to extinguish any fires when unattended. If you are traveling with a furry friend, please be considerate of other guests and mindful of your pet's behavior, particularly in communal areas. To help maintain cleanliness and orderliness, we kindly ask that you wash dishes thoroughly and return them to their original location. *This is the only thing we ask for clean- We are always here and ready to assist you with any inquiries you may have or to give you a tour of the property. Additionally, we often keep a two-way radio (walkie-talkie) available at the community kitchen and sometimes at your site for your convenience.
